Girls, for sure. Especially if you're not drawing anime. If anyone needs verification of this, I'll show you some of my old drawings...LOL

For me, it's easiest to draw Guys or young girls. I just don't feel comfortable drawing older girls. O_o

I couldn't say, since I'm not much of an artist and haven't drawn enough to know anyway. (But for some reason I do find it easier to come up with girls' names.)

Strangely, I think I find guys easier to draw...
This is strange for two reasons: In art classes, I was told that people tend to draw their own gender better than the opposite gender, because they see themselves in the mirror all the time. Secondly, when I took a Life Drawing course, our only model for the semester was a woman - thus I've never gotten real practice drawing male models.
Still... people like the muscles I put on male characters when I draw them, and their look overall. I really should be more accomplished at drawing females, but I think I'm better at males.

Girls... The iconic female form is much more curvey and flowing, making it much easier to grasp in my brain. The iconic male figure... Well, it's not so... Iconic. It's much more complex... It's more likley for a male image to look feminine than the other way around, partly because of the views on such things (the one way street) So I can never do guys right... Not been satisfied with one pic I've done of a male character yet...

I can't really draw at all! When I attempt, I generally stick to girls, but I'm better at inanimate objects anyway, so mabye I shouldn't have tried to answer in the first place.

I can draw both but it's harder with guys especially guys in tight clothing. I just can't achieve the super hero look (argh too embarassing
)...So I conclude it must be the muscles!

As far as muscles go, I too am CLUELESS! If you've ever seen DBZ, you gotta wonder if they totally made up where all those huge neck muscles and stuff go, or if they're really just exaggerating actual anatomy.
Where do you put the lines on the arms? LOL!
While it's true that you see yourself in the mirror everyday, you probably pay more attention to the, er, little details of the opposite gender when you're at school and stuff
. Actually, I'm homeschooled now but I do find it easier to draw girls. Stupid muscles.

For stuff like that, I just whip out my anatomy textbook. Something like Netter's Anatomy is just about essential to illustrate the prototype 'ripped guy' right. There are several sections where the muscle groups are well demonstrated and the contours can be traced over, er, duplicated carefully.
An anatomy text is a good investment for an artist, I think. It's an even better investment for an MD

Yeah... Anatomy books are probably good starting point... Learn to draw real first, then get the "How to Draw Manga" books for the Manga look (teaches you, among many other things, how to NOT draw certain things, which is very important in making good looking characters, it looks ugly to draw everything, you should only draw what's important... that's why noses aren't that prominent...) , specifically the compiled volumes :Compiling characters, compiling techniques, compiling (?) and Clothing your characters... warning: Nudity in 2 of them (maybe in 3, I"m not sure) and about 1/3 of book 4 is dedicated to underwear, but I mean it's sorta expected in an art book... Gotta learn to draw the body before you learn to draw the clothes, if you want it to look right, but I still need to give people a heads up... They are about the best books on the subject, at least the compiling books, because they are incredibly comprehensive... Drawing techniques, tools, screentones, styles, stories, clothing, animals, perspective, architecture... It covers everything...

For me it's girls. I started drawing at an early age and most of my works were self portraits.

Well ... I have days I guess. Sometimes I can't draw guys worth beans, and other days, the girls just never come out right.

both are just about the same for me as far as difficulty, but girls are harder to draw naturally cuse i really dont uderstand how women think, so its hard for me to ilistraite responces or moods, i guess. and the guys are all basicly me, draw with the question "what would i do". but both are hard for me to come up with characters. in fact i dont think ive come up with any charcter i really liked.

I think people find thier own sex easiest to draw, thier more comfortable about it without noticing. I like to try to observe my mental conclusions about things.

Guys are a LOT easier to draw for me. If anything, I find it hard to get the face right.

I find it easy to draw both, but I find girls are easier to draw in anime, because if you know how to draw an anime girl, you can basically draw almost all anime girls (same body shape unless your trying to draw a child). However, you'll find that for your anime male heroes, bodies have more variety. Theres the lanky type, theres the normal type, theres the muscle type, and then theres the uber muscle type you only see in Dragon Ball Z... You'd find that most female heroes and girls are more limited to the first two.
