First of all, let me say that I hate DBGT with all my heart. I only watch it sometimes for two reasons: 1. curiosity 2. it brings a sort of nostalgia sometimes of "good old DBZ".

With that all said and done, I started watching DBGT today, and saw that Frieza and Cell were fighting Goku. The first thing I noticed was their total inability to draw the characters (especially Cell) even close to being correct. (If no one has yet found out, Cell is my all time favorite character.) Then I noticed the stupid script and horrible fight scenes. Also, the ABSOLUTE lack of the personalities they had in DBZ. At first I couldn't stop laughing at their feeble attempts to recreate a masterpiece. A few minutes later, all I could do was hide my face in my hands. It just kept getting more and more stupid. A few minutes from that, there were tears of embarrassment and mourning forming in my eyes. Then I just had to turn it off to keep from losing my sanity and, not to mention, my lunch!! It was even worse than many badly done fanfictions I've seen. And I'm not at all exaggerating!! I don't think I will ever want to watch that show again. Not even out of curiosity. Let this bunch of crud for anime rot!! :waah!:

Some one here once asked why anime fans hate DBZ. I think Lunis just answered it, albeit in a way that may anger the DBZ fans out there.

The way I hear it, original makers of DBZ refused to make another season, so they got some others to make on instead, so it basically is just fan fiction.

I don't hate DBZ (and I haven't watched GT), but the the thing that really gets to me is the vast expanse of time they spend NOT DOING ANYTHING. Many times I have sat on my couch, too lazy to pop in something better from my collection, wish someone would just hit somebody instead of just standing their talking or waiting for the bad guy that they could easily beat morph into something that they can't. If they cut out all of the waiting around and the odd scenes of wind blowing the grass and trees, etc - the series would only be half as long - and easier to watch.

Sorry, rant over. I ment no offense - like I said, I don't hate DBZ, I just think it could have been done a little better.

i also saw tonights episode... well, sorta I didn't watch the whole thing. I can't really say I hate dbz or gt because it was the first anime I started watching and back then I really didn't know any other anime, and well I really liked it. That was a long time ago though and after awhile it just got to be so long... Goku died, goku came back, Goku died, goku came back, and so on... anyway I am not going against dbz or any of the series because thats the first anime I watched. But I do see where you are coming from. once I found YYH I sorta tuned out dbz

o_O I didn't think I would anger any DBZ fans by this. I myself being a HUGE one. I know I will anger DBGT fans *shudders at the thought of there being fans of that show*. I consider DBGT to have never happened in the DBZ reality and to be a completely separate and different show. I'm so happy that you have never seen DBGT. I give yougood advice to never ever see it. If you didn't much care for DBZ, DBGT is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 etc. times worse. Just don't watch it. Seriously. :shady:

...ok sacrasm aside I agree with everyone bout DBGT...it stinks. I just wtahc it out of curosity. I used to be a huge DBZ fan but after a while, i started not liking it to hating it. Just not my kind of anime anymore.

I hate GT with the white hot anger of a thousand burning suns. I am one of the biggest Dragonball/Z fans ever, but, as you may recall, I HATE GT. They KILLED my precious Pikkoro-kun, and they sent him to HELL! It's a huge, badly-written, animated fanfiction, done by people with nowhere NEAR Toriyama-sensei's level of expertise! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr...................

Heh...I have strong dislikes for DBZ. DBGT doesn't bother me much, but...where on Earth is Tien?!?!?! *snarl* They killed him in DBZ...both in a way of speaking about what evils they commited to such a cool character ----and literally. (How many times did he have to die? :sniffle:

)

The original characters of Dragonball rule over the messed-up characters in DBZ and DBGT. However, I must admit, Goku is cool in DBZ but some of his mercy was lost in those fights...I liked him more in DragonBall when he was just a cute, innocent little kid with a monkey tail.

Everyone, take several deep breaths. Do we really need to hate something because we dislike it asthetically?

Personally, however: I more or less like DBZ (were it a third the length and newer it would be a very good anime), like the manga, dislike DBGT and dislike Dragonball by far the most.
