Well, this week I can watch six of their films, should I bother?

Overhyped, but sure.

Studio Ghibli are awesome in general. Of the eight I've seen Pom Poko is the only one I disliked. The movies are very imaginative most of the time, some are quiet and have great characters and good development of characters, not to mention great animation, music and story.

I highly recommend:

Nausicaa
Whisper of the Heart
Grave of the Fireflies
Spirited Away
Princess Mononoke

I haven't seen many others.

They're among the best non-Disney animation anywhere.

Yeah, they're over-rated because they're awesome.

No, seriously. Howl's Moving Castle is great, Princess Mononoke is awesome, Spirited Away is awesome. Definitely watch some Studio Ghibli stuff.
