Cowboy Bebop question

Postby SwordSkill » Thu May 27, 2004 1:14 am

//SPOILERS may abound//

I just recently finished watching Cowboy Bebop and Faye's past naturally struck me as quite interesting. The merlion statue in her videotape and on the land on Earth where she returned in ep24 is obviously the same merlion statue in Singapore now...so does that mean that Faye was originally Singaporean? (I'm pretty sure it wasn't just a whim by the producers, since the merlion is officially recognized as Singapore's national icon).
*Insert witty saying here*

That's Singapore's national icon? *blink* Had no clue. But I figured she was Asian, because her old friend who recognizes her is named like....Xiao Ying or something. (I don't really know, I just remember it sounded Chinese or something similar.) Also, her face looks different than most of the other people.
