Alright, the 20th is come and gone! No more submissions will be accepted for this contest from here out. We had quite an amazing turnout on this competition, and all the entries were great! We are aiming to have an official descision from our guest judge by Wednesday, so keep an eye open to find out who the winner will be!

*trumpets sound* Announcing: the march wallpaper contest!

This months theme is a little unusual (yeah yeah, leave it to me to come up with something weird.) I wanted it to be something that would be challenging and fun, so I came up with black and white. The whole wall. No colors. I thought this would be an interesting challenge, because it'll force us to come up with something that is visually interesting all on its own.

Also, this month's winner will be decided by a guest judge. So, may you have ingenious ideas and lots of fun!

Remember:

Entries must be anime/manga themed.

Entries must be 1024x768. Entries which are other sizes WILL be rejected.

Entries must follow the theme.

Notice: I forgot to mention this, but all walls are due on the 20th. Thank you.

Another notice: I have had a request for the specifications of anime/manga theme to include gaming as it has in the past, and that's fine with me. Anyone who would be inclined to make a wall with video game characters may feel free to do so.

For now, I'm going to say just submit normally in the wallpaper contest forum. A lot of people didn't like the way the last wallpaper contest went, so I decided to go back to a guest judge/mod judge set up until I work the kinks out of the other system. . . even if I do like it better.

Oh, it definitely needs to be made by you.

Not that the images have to be made by you or anything, you just have to design and put together a wall using images from your choice of any anime or manga. For an example, you can look at the entries by me and Soul Alive that won last month, they're a few announcements down on the home page.

Well, we'll probably pick someone who is known to have some understanding of graphic design. That way it won't just be, "Oh, I'll pick this one, because my favorite character is on it," or "I like the lyrics that this person used, so I'll pick this one," it'll be a decision based on a lot of different aspects (like composition, originality, overall asthetic appeal, etc.)

Does my entry have to be EXACTLY 1024 x 768? It's 1029 x 765...Is that close enough?

This sounds like an interesting contest. I'll try and get an entry in... Black and White is a good idea, I've never actually made a wall like that. ^_^

I'm sorry to have to be a pain and say, yeah, it does have to be exactly 1024 x 768. . . yours is pretty close though, so hopefully it won't be too hard to adjust it just a smidge.
