I am currently working on a Bible study with some of my friends. Would it be alright if I post it? If so, where? Thanks! :thumb:

(Moved to Comment Box)

Can you be more specific about what you're intending to study, what materials (if any) you'll be using as help guides, and how the study is laid out?

If so, we might be able to approve it for the Bible Study forum, but we need more information first (in particular, sectarian or denominationally stringent/controversial study topics will not be approved because that just riles people up, but that's by no means the only example).

Can you explain this layout a bit more? I don't quite follow the topic tree.

Yeah, sorry about being vague. Most of the material (other than what is said directly in the Bible) in the study will come from
my current 12th grade Bible class, the Nooma Films , and the book by Rick Warren The Purpose Driven Life. Natuarally I will add my feelings and experiences, and anyone is welcome to share thiers. If it was to get out of hand (which I doubt will happen), the administration could always close the topics. This study will not be a huge thing. It will just cover a few important topics I wanted to go over with my friends. As for the topic tree, the title in CAPS is just the title for the section. Point A is just to show what Nooma video we will be watching that day. Point B is the actual study with a shnazzy title. As for more specific content:

LESSON PLAN

1. THE AUTENTICITY OF THE WORD OF GOD
B. ROOTS
*This section is merely to secure a solid foundation. Assuming that everyone here has accepted Christ, it is just some interesting facts and background of the roots of Christianity.

2. BAD THINGS HAPPEN – BUT GOD SEES THE BIGGER PICTURE
B. STORMS
*This is a section covering the frequently asked question "How can a loving God allow pain?".

3. WHAT IS LOVE REALLY ABOUT?
B. AMORE
*This section will be a little different from the others. It will talk about real love according to the Bible and marriage.

4. WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE?
B. FISHERMEN
*This section will focus mainly on content from Rick Warren's The Purpose Driven Life.

5. TRADITION VS TRUTH
B. INSTRUCTION MANUAL
*Section 5 will explain that life does have an instruction manual: The Bible. It will also cover a little history about the Church.

6. PRAYER
B. YOU’VE GOT MAIL
*Kind of a strange title? What this section is about it how God does hear our prayers.

7. WHATS GOOD FOR US?
B. CANDY
*Another strange title. It focuses on God knowing what is good for us.

8. FORGIVENESS
B. WASHED
*One of the most important lessons. This section will talk about generall forgiveness and God's gift, His Son Jesus.

9. BELIEF IN GOD & HIS BELIEF IN US
B. REVELATION
*As of know, it is the final part of the study. It talks about our belief in God, His belief in us, and a little about Heaven.

I'm sorry to ask you this Towi, but can you keep being patient? The staff and I have a lot going on right now, but if you can give us a week or two and then bump this thread again, I promise we'll spend some time talking about your study, ok?
