has anyone else been getting a lot of timeouts and database errors around here lately? I've been having this problem every day for like, the last week.

I just want to know if we can do anything about it. :bang:

I just got one about a minute ago. I was going over "new messages", and the interface told me there were 30 message topics. I was on page 1 (messages 1-25). When I clicked to go to page 2, I received a database error telling me there were no matching topics. Very strange.

I've had only moderate trouble. Usually patience fixes it.

I'd prefer a large claw hammer.

*Walks in and noticies the database has weird marks on it*

What the?!? That's odd. It looks like someone has been using a crow bar on this. Or maybe a large claw hamm...

*Sees ShiHi backing away with something behind her back*

Hey!

Over the past two days, it has been happening to me more and more.... though, it's started to work fine tonight. Odd.

It has been mostly time outs and I did get 404'd a few times.

Can people maybe add at least one other bit of data to these posts? Are there lots of users on at the time? Also, what time of day/time zone did you get it. I'm wondering if it's database overload, or if it's something far more sinister...

it happens to me at lots of different times, but especially around 12:45am Central. it doesn't seem to depend on how many people are on.

Well, over this weekend, I've started to get Database errors at night… here and there.... from about 11pm to around 1am EST. Time outs.... just randomly throughout early morning to midday.

Lately, I also get time outs or major slow downs when I click "forums" on the horizontal menu across the top of the site.

Using Firefox here, btw. ^_^

I get similar errors at similar times with an updated Firefox, an ancient Internet Explorer, an updated Internet Explorer and on Mac 9, Win 98 and XP. I don't think it has to do with any of that.

Well, it's possible that a server wide backup (at the system level) could be causing it, but I'm not sure. I'd be interested to slap an analyser on the line and see. I don't get any errors, and I have a tremendously wide pipe. Perhaps those of you getting the errors have smaller pipes?

No, I got the error about a half hour ago, and this is a 6,000kbps down/608kbps up line (I just upgraded it).

...Why am I not getting this...? You all using cache? Shooby - I asume you are still using camino on 10.2?

Yes, 10.2.8/0.8.1. No, stockholm isn't caching anything.
