Problem logging out

Postby Rachel » Tue Sep 28, 2004 9:30 pm

See above. Yeah, this is Icarus.

For those that don't know, Rachel is my sister, and we only have one computer at home which is shared.

The problem is that if I click the "log out" button at the top, it takes me to the all cookies cleared screen, http://christiananime.net/login.php?do=logout. Interestingly, that also has a "log out" button, which reloads the page sans the log out option. Usually, I can click the forums link and sign in from there, but tonight it automatically signs back in as Rachel.

I know it's not because of the "remember me" button, as that is what I usually click, and signing out works as above.

Anyway, Specs:

windows me, intel 633 Mhz, Yahoo DSL browser (I believe it's an upgrade of IE 6). I'm not sure what they have recently downloaded/installed, but the last thing I know of is a trial version of MS Visual C++ 6, and it worked previously. Thanks.

EDIT: Interesting. I clicked on the link in the post and it worked. Sorry to take space

I've also had this same problem. Sometimes i find that my name is still on the top of the forums page even though i have already logged out then ive got to log in again in order to log out. So you're not alone.
Absence is to love as wind is to a flame. It extinguishes the little, it ignites the great.

Life is a test. It is only a test. Had this been real life you would have have been instructed where to go and what to do.

When i argue with reality I lose.....But only 100% of the time.

Once you've decided on a course of action, only you can finish it. As long as you remember that, there's nothing you can't accomplish.

OK. It's sounds to me like you are using IE, and have opted to use it's "auto login" function. The simpelist solution is for one of you to download and install firefox (or some other browser) and use that. Since only the browser remembers who you are, problem solved.

Let us know if that is not a viable solution.
