OK... i just got my graphic art pad and it is annoying me.

I cant make the pen pressure sensitive.

ANd the Corel Painter 2 always has a background of blue not white.... man.

DO you know how to make the pen pressure sensitive?

Yes, make sure the drivers are installed and up to date.

Even on Mac OS X where the tablet "just works," the electronic ink support doesn't support sensitivity either without the drivers.

I don't know about your situation but graphics tablets take a lot of practise and getting used to. At least for me it did. I have a Wacom Graphire 6X8 and iI still find it a bit difficult but practise makes perfect! Also you have to make sure you are using a software program that supports pen pressure sensitivity. Not all do. Photoshop does. Programs like Illustrator and Freehand do not. They are vector. Hope this helps.
