Postby skynes » Tue Dec 07, 2004 10:21 am

My sister has an essay due in tomorrow. She's stuck on one of the questions, the question is

Comment on the claim that the Creeds were summaries of the Christian belief for the early church.

It's due in tomorrow :| So any quick help will be GREATLY appreciated.
I am the Reaper of Souls... and it's harvest time.

There are basicly three really well known creeds of the early Church: The Apostle's Creed, The Athanasian Creed, and The Nicean Creed. As summaries they are not collections of everything that was believed, but a collection of the general principals put forth by those making the Creed. The Athanasian Creed deals mainly with the Trinity. The Nicean Creed comes from the council of Nicea in the year 381. Not sure what else you're looking for.
