What does your screen name mean?

When you chose your screen name for CAA, what were you thinking? :eyebrow:

Mine's French for "tree." Vyse actually helped me choose this name when I told him I couldn't think of screen name for registering here. ^_^

I've always wanted to see everything that's going on, since infancy...
I look up at the sky quite frequently, and although it sounds silly, I'm fascinated with air vents. I suppose that's because I spend so much time staring at them...

Postby Master Kenzo » Fri Apr 16, 2004 3:15 pm

I was looking at a list of Japanese names one day, under K, (because my name starts with K) and Kenzo caught my eye. The "Master" didn't come from my ownage at video games (and, until recently, at Seal Bounce as well) as many may think; I once was a part of a roleplaying forum, and the "Master" kind of stuck.

Soon I might insist that I be called Kenzo off-line as well - there are four people with my real name (which old-timers at CAA will know) in my tech class...and my name isn't that common either.
I'm back to make a post or two every couple years...

the samurai comes from the fact that they are awesome, and I wish I was one, and my favorite show is Rurouni Kenshin. The 1986 is simply my birth year.

Mine dates all the way back to my junior year in high school. My friends used to always ask me questions about Catholicism, until eventually I became known as the guy that people came to to ask questions. This led to one of my friends dubbing me the Catholic Dali Lama. I'm also quite vikingish. When one of my friends first invited me to an online message board I chose CDLviking so that he would instantly recognize me. Ever since then I use it simply for the sake of being easily recognizable, and not having to remember my different names.

Wasn't there a thread like this already? Anyway, mine comes from a story idea I was contemplating at the time. The idea has since gone out the window, but I still like it. Same for Night Walker. They were two characters that kind of fit together, so yeah. The 8356 on the phone is SeKn for SEsshoumaru and KNives, two of my fave characters. It's also the parental password on my PS2.

Seiya, my dear, learn the use of the edit button please. It's nice easy click to edit it. Please do it. It's a pet peeve of mine when people don't use it.

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

Crusader because I've always liked the classical knight archetype.

X to help to distinguish myself from any other Crusaders out there.

Growing up, I was also a fan of Racer X from the Speed Racer cartoon, so the name is a play on that as well.

I've never posted this here that I know of.... now you'll all know the (stupid) secret to my screen name ;)

While back I was testing out a Playstation that was supposed to be busted, I had played just about all the demo games I had, but one... Tony Hawk... so I put the bad boy in and gave it a shot (testing a controller, the one that I had with it was less than perfect), anyway, the game never interested me before that point... I was hooked pretty fast.

A while later I rented the N64 Version and setup a name for myself... I was looking for something "hip" sounding, and I took a lead from some of the joke names that me and friends of mine had come up with at times, kinda rapish type names.... took my first name (short version) and my last initial... the "mad" in "madphilb" is from something along the lines of having "mad skillz" or some nonsense like that (this all sounded alot better at 3am sitting alone in my bedroom).

Anyway...

I started using the "madphilb" more for some logins and such since the screen name I used to like to use (Mr3D) was far too often taken other places (the Mr3D thing came from my attachment to doing stuff in 3D years ago with AutoCAD, some really old DOS verions)....

So... that's the long sorted story of what my screen name is all about (ever notice I can't give a short answer to anything?)

Angel37? Hmm..well...because of my many nicknames, Zarn Ishatre gave me the one, Angel, so as not to be confused. Since I followed him from C2R to here, I decided to use that name. 37 came from the Bible, since 3 and 7 are holy numbers.

uc is merely short for uncreative, as it could not be included in full due to character limit. In full, that is "uncreative pseudonym" my idea of a humorous online name. I use it for basically every online issue I'm involved with, so it seemed logical to use it for CAA...

Mine is the Japanese name of the Pokémon Bellossom. Pokémon was like... the first anime I ever really watched, and I thought Bellossom was cute anyway. ^^ I looked it up on a translator, and "kirei" means pretty, and "hana" means petal.

LobsterBucket is actually and Aquabats song. It's a pretty funny, but has a decent moral to it. It's about lobsters stuck in a bucket and they can't climb out bc they are all pulling on eachother. It just says that we should work together as well as we can.

What? Too lazy to click on the link?

Fine. I feel a bit foolish quoting myself, but this time I'll make an exception.

Saint Kevin wrote:Kevin - my name. I kinda like it. From a Gaelic name meaning kind or handsome.
Why the qualifier Saint? It's not because I think of myself as a good person or anything. Far from it, I am a wicked sinner. I just wanted to emphasize the point that every saved person is instantly a saint.

Ashley as in Mary-Kate and Ashley...she was my favorite twin.

Ok before anyone conspires to kill me, I'm just kidding guys! Ashley is my real name too. I used to run around online as Riana because I thought it sounded cool, but somewhere along the way I just switched to Ashley. At some other forums sometimes I'll register as TexanAsh because the mainers would get a kick out of it.

I'm SpoonyBard because of the line in FF4 when Tellah shouts at Edward: "You spoony bard!" I like that line because I'm a big fan of Engrish in all its forms. Also I'm a guitarist, so it kinda fits for me.
