I decided that maybe I should do this. I've been a member since September but still haven't. At first I just signed up because my friend recommended the site to me, but didn't do much on it. Lately, I've been visiting the site a couple times a day. I'm addicted and I love it! n.n

Yeah. Anyways, my name is Stephanie (a.k.a. Millicent Knight). I'm 15 years old and a freshman. I go to a private Christian school, which I absolutely hate. Why do I hate it? Well...many of the administrators and teachers are extremely hypocritical. There are other reasons, but I won't bore you. n.n

I can't live without music. I am in the high school choir at school and play guitar and sing with the praise band at my church. I'm not that great, but it's fun and as long as I'm singing from my heart as well God thinks its beautiful. I am also in my third year of piano lessons.

I'm a pretty good student. Once in awhile, I'll go through a time when all I care about is my grades and that's all that keeps me going (I'm weird). I don't have too many friends at school or church. Just a few close ones.

I love manga! Mars, Fushigi Yuugi (I warn you: NEVER let your friend talk you into watching the entire anime series in one sitting), Love Hina, Magic Knight Rayearth, Marmalade Boy, Ranma 1/2 are all some of my faves. I'm currently reading Boys Over Flowers and love it.

Like everyone else, I have a dark side. I have very low self-esteem and at times have been suicidal.

Lessee...What else can I say? Um...I am a geek. I love books and spend much of my time reading. Fantasy usually. I love computers. I'm not very good with them, but it's fun to mess with them.

Can't think of anything else interesting at the moment....If you want to know more about my insane and, at times, depressing and melodramatic life then check out my blog.

Peace and jellybeans!

Actually...I don't play video games. I would if I had the equipment, but sadly I do not have sufficient funds. n.n I enjoy watching people play the rp games though, like Final Fantasy.

That's understandable...gaming is a rather expensive habit. Unfortunately time is the big limiting factor for me since I started college. :(

That stinks. What kind of games do you play?

I mostly play fighting, action, adventure, shooting, strategy, and racing games. Some of my favorite games are the Street Fighter series, Soul Calibur, Dynasty Warriors 4, Armored Core 2/3, and Gauntlet: Dark Legacy.

I also like RPGs, but I rarely play them, since they are generally do not allow for multiplayer gaming and competition.

That's funny. When I was playing FFX my mom used to always watch. After I beat it she asked if there was a way to watch the story without playing the game. She was so disappointed.

Ah...fantasy...that beautiful word. n.n My newest favorite is is the "Song of Ice and Fire" series by George R. R. Martin. Love it! Love it! Love it! Right now I'm reading "The Once and Future King" by T.H. White. Hm...I think that counts as fantasy... Let's see, what else? "The Dragonriders of Pern". Anything by David Eddings. n.n I like lots of stuff!!

Good choice. A brutal choice, but a good choice nonetheless. :)

Have you read all three Song of Ice and Fire books so far?

I've just started re-reading A Storm of Swords for the 2nd time. These books are so amazing, and I'm anxiously awaiting the next one as well.

Inferno, the books read actually more like historical fiction. Its a fantasy series, but there's very little actual fantasy elements in it. No magic (for the most part), no monsters (for the most part). It deals with medieval politics and ruling families and knights and kings and their lands. Having said that, these books are the most exciting and intense reading experience I've ever had. :) You wouldn't at first think that pseudo historical medieval fiction could be so exciting, but George RR Martin, the author, proves otherwise. There is some great action in places, but the bulk of the books are really all about the personal relationships of the main characters.

There's a Song of Ice and Fire thread in the Books sections of these forums. As I mentioned there, while I think that these books are great, they're definintely not for kids. There are some very graphic scenes portrayed in the books, and they're definitely for older audiences. But older audiences are in for a great reading experience.
