Hey, everybody. :)

Okay, so I'm not exactly new; I've been a member for over a month, just haven't contributed much. I figured I should probably get around to posting an introduction. :)

So, here's me in a nutshell: Christian, female, avid reader, kinda geeky and nerdy (and proud of it!), Tetris aficionado.

I'm pretty new to anime and manga; until I saw a synopsis for Axis Powers Hetalia, I have to say that I thought it was all pornography or horror. (Or big fighting robots.) I have since learned the error of my ways, and am officially a fan.

...And that's about it. :thumb:

P. S. This site has been a huge help in my search for good material. You guys have no idea how grateful I am for all the reviews you've put up. Many thanks! <3

Welcome Sissy, both to the board and to anime fandom! :P

So, the CAA members like to ask questions of the new people...I'll get started:
1. Biggest Tetris accomplishment?
2. First anime you ever saw?
3. Favorite anime?
4. Do you like to read? What type of books do you enjoy?

Thanks!

1. Reaching Rank 20 in Battle 2P on Tetris Friends. Mwahaha.
2. Axis Powers Hetalia. Well, unless you count about 5 minutes of Pokemon when I was a kid...
3. So far, Ouran High School Host Club. <3
4. Yes, very much so! I like... pretty much anything with good characters. Adventure, humor, fantasy, and sometimes a bit of romance. :) And I still love children's literature... It's way underrated.

Yes! Indeed! Even through all these years, I still smile at the memories of my favorite picture books and short stories.

Anywho, Welcome and Salutatons!
And I also second FMA and FMA:Brotherhood

From one Nub to another: welcome to the brotherhood.

I haven't seen F.A.B. but FullMetal is cool, and I also recommend Naruto.

Welcome, Sissy! :D

And, another Ouran fan. Though I read the manga rather than watch the anime (for reasons you get hammered into your head if you talk to me about my horrible internet at all XD), but I'm enjoying it as well. I think there are a lot of fans of Ouran on here.

So have any favorite threads/threads that have interested you?

Thanks so much for the welcomes, everybody! They're very much appreciated; I don't think I've ever joined a forum with people as friendly as you all. :thumb:

Well, Kate Coombs's Runaway books are right up there at the top of the list. She combines good characters, adventure, humor, fantasy, a little bit of romance, and children's lit into pure brilliance. :thumb:

Hmm. Well, the Recommendations threads in particular have been pretty interesting... Heck, the whole forum is pretty interesting. I could spend hours just browsing.

Favorite authors?
Favorite books (YA/Adult)?
Favorite children's books?

1. Dale Cramer, Barbara Brooks Wallace, Kate Coombs, Randall Ingermanson and John B. Olson, Elleston Trevor, etc.

2. Dale Cramer's Bad Ground was awesome in every way, as were Randall Ingermanson and John B. Olson's Oxygen and The Fifth Man. <3<3<3 I HIGHLY recommend them to anybody who likes... well, greatness. ]Sparrows in the Scullery[/I]. <3 And Elleston Trevor's Woodlander series is rather obscure, but the books are truly lovable and funny. Think Winnie-the-Pooh, but for slightly older readers, and with much more detail and a teeny bit of actual plot. ;)
