<_<

Okay so... If you don't know what that is, you are pretty lucky. However, if by some twisted chance you are curious, then step right up and ask away.

And you can ask me other questions too obviously. This is my general all purpose about me thread.

How Long have you been singing?

Yups. You know it.

-SteenaJack-

Yay! Another Subscriber! Thanks! Well, I've been playing guitar for maybe 3 years now without lessons, and I've been singing since I was born, like everyone I guess. I only really started trying to learn how to not sing like a whale 6 months ago when I downloaded this singing lesson program thingy.

1. Favoriter writer?
2. Didn't you already do one of these?
3. Why the odd title?
4. Favorite animals?

I really have no clue who my favorite writers are at the moment. I've read alot of things, and they're all good. Like I like Albert Camus, Kierkegaard in that Philosophy vein, Haruki Murakami in that twisted thought sort of vein, A bunch of Asian writers, all that stuff. I like Some of the classics, and a lot of American literature, but I couldn't tell you who my absolute favorite writer is. Although Orson Scott Card really blew me away with Ender's Game. I read the whole thing in like one day, which is something I never do. I don't read too much lately though.

Yeah. I did a while back.

Because of the odd video

I like Ravens. Like my hair sort of looks like a raven when it grows out and starts showing it's wavy texture. Or else when I wear a black scarf or something, it looks like black wings. And the bird tie in is cool, since Charlie Parker was called bird.

My questions always lead to something fun! :)

if you were stranded on a desert Island (other than religious materials, Family or Friends) what 5 things would you bring with you (assuming all utilities are there and functional)

1. Who are your favorite actors/actresses (yes, you can list voice actors)
2. Favorite animal?
3. Dead person you'd like to meet in Heaven?

-Furen-

Hrm... Well A boat to get off the island, A plane in case that breaks, a helicopter in case that breaks, a flying turtle in case that breaks, and a teleportation system in case the turtle doesn't like me. They all fit in my pocket, so there's no problem.

-Rocklobster-

Hrm... I like Jack Black, Jet Li, alot of Voice actors.

You just asked me that question.

My Grandfather.

Okay so now if you were stranded on a different island (same things apply) and you can't get off this one, what 5 things would you bring?

Riddle me that!

Can you dance?
What are your favorite movies? (live action, Anime and Disney film)

Most romantic thing you've ever read?
Do you write fanfiction or have any fanfic ideas?

So, for those of us who missed it, what made you make the video?

-Furen-

I would bring all of civilization with me, of course. But then I wouldn't really be stranded, would I?

-Rock-

I watch Sports with my friends sometimes. But I don't watch anything on my own.

I'd like to meet alot of guitarists like Van Halen, Buddy Guy, Slash, a bunch of people, etc.

I don't remember actually, but I never feel like changing it anyways.

-Nami-

I love California too.

Yes. Was that really a valid question?

No.

My faves include Letters from Iwo Jima, School of Rock (Of Course), Schindler's List, Jet Li's Fearless, and Up.

I love Pixar sooo much. But other than that, not really.

-Steenajack-

No.

I used to, but only for universes that I really liked, like Avatar the last airbender, FFXII, Code Geass, Negima

The Stranger and No Exit were impactfully depressing. I liked them alot. But most depressing... I dunno.

Bittersweet... hrm... rather would not say.

I laugh like a madman at everything.

Dunno...

Eh... Not too much into Romance.

I used to write fanfiction a loooonnng time ago.

-Lynna-

It was a joke about what would happen if Everyone in Chat's gender switched and Nami hit on me. I would go, "Ew, boys are nastyyyy." And then I kept saying that over and over until they wanted me to record me saying it. So I did...

1. Fave Jimi Hendrix song?
2. Who's the best lead singer for Van Halen: David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar? (I doubt you'll pick Gary Cherone)

PostPosted: Mon Oct 18, 2010 12:07 pm
by Strafe
Rock

-All Along the Watchtower or Johnny B. Goode. Both Covers, but really really good ones. All along the watchtower has great lyrics (Bob Dylan) and some of the sweetest solos going on, and on Johnny B. Goode, Hendrix KILLS it. Like I almost died of amazement watching him live on that one.

-I liked Van Halen better during David Lee Roth, even Though Sammy Hagar is such a great singer. Van Halen had possibly one of the best distorted guitar tones in the history of rock and roll with Roth, and because Roth was a terrible singer, Eddie got to solo all the time. Roth was also a better showman. Van Halen started getting a bit too glam rock opposed to down and nasty when Hagar showed up.

BTW, don't let his one album with Van Halen fool you. Gary Cherone was excellent with Extreme. You just need to listen to their best album ever: Three Sides to Every Story.
1. Do you like Lenny Kravitz?
2. Do you like any horror movies? Which ones?
3. What do you think of Weird Al? Got a favorite song?

-Rock-

I think Lenny Kravitz is pretty cool. Great singer, writes some strong catchy tunes. Just the guitar tones are a little bit thin sounding sometimes. He's a great musician though.

I have problems with horror movies, but even bigger major major issues with anything of or relating to corpses. Considering just about every horror movie has a corpse, I try not to watch for fear of breaking down into a nervous wreck.

I... don't listen to Weird Al much actually.

I'll save it!
1. You named yourself strafe, so I'm assuming you like FPS games. Is that true?
2. Did you ever play Doom?
3. What about Wolfenstein 3-D?
4. Ever listen to any symphonic metal (e.g. Dragonforce, Nightwish, Evanescense)?

PostPosted: Mon Oct 25, 2010 7:36 pm
by Strafe
-Rock-

Lol. Well I actually suck at FPSs REALLY bad. I just happened to like the word Strafe alot, and it sounds alot cooler than what it actually is. But I named myself Strafe before I knew what the word meant.

I guess since the first question says I don't really play FPSs, it only makes sense that I've never played them. I know people that have though.

Yeah. I have it on my iPod. But I have everything on my iPod from Gypsy Jazz to Underground Rap. I think Dragonforce is a bit gimmicky with Herman Li's ridiculously fast technical guitar work and the double bass mayhem, but it's fun to listen to when I'm pumped up.

So what would you actually do?

-Furen-

Ok ok. Fine i'll be serious. I would bring 1. A computer 2. All my guitar equipment. 3. Food. 4. Food. 5. Water.

1. What's your high school's mascot?
2. Have you thought about what your college major might be?
3. What's your best subject?
4. What's your worst subject?

-Rock-

LOL. I got an update in my email that you asked about my college. I'm flattered that you think I give off the college vibe. Or should I be? hrm...

My Highschool's mascot is a Pirate... Argh...

I'm focusing my classes to apply for study in the field of Electrical Engineering at UMD. They say it's a very solid place to major in Electrical.

I don't really have a strong vs. Weak subject, since this year, I have a 4.0 so far, or a 4.8 weighted with all the AP classes, GT, honors, etc. weighed in. But my favorite classes are AP Calculus, AP English, Journalism and Band. I have a really eccentric Calc teacher this year, but he's really really good at teaching, so I've been getting ridiculously high test scores consistently. And I like writing and acting pretentious, so English is fun. I'm an editor for the newspaper and top saxophone in band, so it's all good there.

I don't really like World History AP or French Honors though. And Physics (Not AP until senior year) is a bit tough.
