CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

New here and introducing mahself~ :O Y'all can call me either Haru (short of Hetharu) or Lyn (my actual nickname), or anything else. I don't care much. I'm 17, turning 18 in a couple months~

Let me see. . . things I like. . . Well, anime and manga, obviously. xD I LOVE Hayao Miyazaki movies/manga/everything. My favorite of his movies is Princess Mononoke. I also like CLAMP and their works.

Some of my favorite manga off the top of my head are Hana-Kimi, W-Juliet, Imadoki!, Life, Kare First Love, and He Dedicated to Roses. As you can tell, I like the boys looking like girls and girls looking like boys thing~ xD Leading double lives, finding a love that they can be them true selves with, etc.

Aside from that, I love animals and cannot stand to see them abused. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat. I used to have a guinea pig, but she died some time ago. We have a lot of bunnies roaming around the neighborhood and some of them live in my back and front yard. Like watching them in the mornings~

And I like other stuff; movies, music, video games, tennis, blah blah, insert funny joke here, blah blah, etc etc~ xD Lol~

@Atria: Hi! Thanks~ xD And actually I've read a volume of Ouran Host Club~ I dropped it in the past, though I don't exactly remember why. But I know that what I'd read, I had liked. And I haven't heard of Otomen. :0

And to answer those questions~
- There is! I've actually been meaning to watch Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai Deeper Kyo some time soon. :0 Though I haven't gotten around to it. I'm hoping to at least start one of them some time in the next few days though.
- As for manga, really I just read whatever I can get my hands on. xD Depends on how I feel at the time. But a couple of things I'm planing to read would be Moe Kare. And probably restart a few mangas that I'd dropped in the past for one reason or another.
- And books, one of my favorites is a series called the Kiesha'ra series by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. Includes the books Hawksong, Snakecharm, Falcondance, Wolfcry, and Wyvernhail. Great series about shape shifters. :O I also like Redwall, but as to any specific author, I couldn't say. xD

So, What do you look for the most in an anime or manga you intend on watching/reading?

Well, on manga, I usually look to make sure that the style is something I like. :O I tend not to read it if the art style doesn't pique my interest. But for either or, I usually just look for genres and character types that I like. xD I like comedy, romance, and a lot of drama that makes me cry and makes my heart ache. And I like characters that draw me in and who I can relate to. :O And though it's not mandatory, it's a very big A+ with me if the boys in the anime/manga are bishieful~ e//m//e Durhur~

Ever checked out Princess Tutu?

I've heard of it, but never watched/read it or anything. :O I probably will at some point though. xD

Word to the wise- avoid the manga at all costs. It's a bad adaptation of the anime.

- It WAS sunny out. xD But it got a lil cloudy n ish starting to get dark nao~
- Live-action? Dang. :O I've got sooooo many man. xD I couldn't possibly name any particular one. But a few in particular that I love would be Memoirs of a Geisha, 300, Sherlock Holmes, Rush Hour, Bruce Almighty. There's tons and tons more. xD

Hi and welcome to the CAA! As a fellow CLAMP fan, i say: good choice of favs! (just finished Tsubasa Chronicle manga and Shunraiki anime-you seem them?) ^_^ And I've read two volumes of Kare First Love, and finished W-Juliet and Imadoki!. Wasn't really a fan of Kare First Love.

GO WATCH IT! I've only seen part of the anime, but I'm told the anime is better than the manga. dunno bout youtube... i own the 1st DVD...available from ADV.
