CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Hullo all! I am Patrick Eklektos. I'm new to the site and new to Anime and Manga in general. Wanted to say hey as I'm tryin' to get used to the site here. LOL And by way of short introduction, I am a writer and poet. But most of all, consider myself a theologist, one who studies the Word of God and applies it to my day to day life in all matters... becoming very philosophy of life. So Christ defines me. Sola Scriptura and Sola Christos!
Anyway, as a young writer... sorta... don't know if ya can be a "young writer" if ya are getting married... I dunno.... Right, back on track! As a young writer looking for my nich, I was fascinated and introduced to Manga by my brother who has taken it up for an art style. Inspired, I have joined with his efforts and we are trying to write successful, clean, Christ honouring manga. Anyway, that is our hope... and my other hope is that my brother... wherever he is on here, will find this post and find me... because I can't find him.

Hello! Nice to meet you! We have much in common as I'm studying theology at a Christian college (and therefore understood everything you just said), I recently got married (well 2 years ago) and I also write! Good luck on the manga! Japan could use some good ones on Christ!

Hey! Nice ta meetcha! It's pretty cool that you got into anime and manga that way (my brother ignored me until his friends got into it >.>"). And yes, even if you're getting married, you can still be consiedered 'young'- congrats on the engagement!

So do you have a favorite manga? And what genre do you like to write the most?

Congratulations!!!!!! A37!!!! That is SOOOOO AWESOME!!!! I am happy for you! Two years ago!? Hmmm... I can't wait just to be married to my beloved!!! But I must! LOL I am glad you understood my Theological jargon! LOL Study hard = fun! And I agree, Japan really needs more Christian manga! WOW! I mean, after trying to find some decent stuff to study just to hone my skills in this unfamiliar genera, I was like wow! I mean these books need AGE RATINGS!!! O.o

A35! Yeah, its pretty crazy, but awesome! I am really enjoying the stuff and developing an appreciation for Japanese culture that I had never had the opportunity to develop! My favorite Manga was one by a Christian writer on one of these sites here called "Game Plan". So far I have not had the opportunity to find very much more Manga that I would deem appropriate. But I am currently working on "Code Geese", "Element Line", and "Keys to the Kingdom" book three (I cant find one and two).
As to my favorites, I really really like sci-fi... especially with mecha!!! I LOVE MECHA!!! I also like some fantasy, some comedy, some romance.

Oh! I do have a quick question! What are some good recommendations for a good manga series... preferably sci-fi? Other than Robotech... I have to admit, I am a Mechwarrior man myself. I know its not manga or anime, but its what I grew up on. Its solid! LOL

Oh yeah!!! And an RPG forum! Is this cool or what!? Now is that like an RPG where you write abit of a story for your character in a series of turns, forum style?

Good question- I'd say best place to ask is in the Manga section- we have a thread devoted specifically for that (I've picked up a few great titles from those recommended from others in that section!) Please feel free to ask!

And yeah, the RPG forum is pretty cool XD
