CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Hi everyone! :3 I just found this site yesterday night, and I'm totally thrilled that this place even exists and is still active. Talk about an answer to prayer the same day I cried out to God for help!
I just think it's so cool how there are other Christians and children of God who like anime, manga, and videogames like I do. But anyway, I'm pleased to meet you all~ I hope we'll be able to share our like of anime and grow closer to God together.

I love God but my relationship with Him is still being mended and growing. I think it's getting better though, but in all honesty I've been shown and I find it needs work.
I'm a senior in a Christian high school and I live in the US on the eastern coast. Obviously since I'm here, I like anime, manga, and videogames a lot, and they've played a part in my growing up since I have two older brothers and no sisters. I've also been influenced by AM&VG (is there a shorter way to say this? Lol...) because I am an artist aspiring to attend art college, and mainly I draw anime but I am altogether a very artistic person, and I also can draw realism from photos or from life.

(Please keep in mind though that I have drawn things in the past that I'm not proud of... content-wise, I mean)

I guess this is supposed to introduce myself, but it's hard not to mention my best friend since she's influenced me too. She's also a Christian and is in my class. I love her but she has basically said and done things that are supposed to make me feel badly about liking AM&VG at all. It's... different, because she used to watch entire anime series with me and write fanfiction, but she's been giving me back or throwing away anything related to anime I've given her. Sorry to be so dramatic, but I really despaired, and this lately led me to search for this site. At first, I was looking for some sort of blog on anime with Christian reviews before I watched anything, but needless to say I found this place <3 and it's still running! New favorite site much? XD

Basically what I like:
anime: Romeo x Juliet, D.N.Angel, Azumanga Daioh, Ouran High School Host Club, Samurai X: Reflection, Baccano!.
manga: mostly Zelda manga, D.N.Angel, Tales of Symphonia, Rurouni Kenshin, I don't read much anymore.
videogames: various Zelda, Mario and Harvest Moon games, old school Pokemon, Golden Sun 1 & 2, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, and Tales of Symphonia/Vesperia.
I don't watch anymore: Naruto, Bleach, Claymore, Inuyasha, Soul Eater, FLCL.

Enough of my ranting already! @__@ Heh...

Thanks, I think I will. And thanks again! It’s neat to see Baccano! gaining popularity, my cousins and I cosplayed Nice, Jacuzzi, the Rail Tracer, and Rachel at a convention during the summer and nobody knew who we were, lol… Is your avatar from Durarara!! ? I’m excited to start watching that!

Anyways, in answer to your question, I have a DeviantArt account! I'm actually in college majoring in illustration right now, and even though only a very small amount of my schoolwork is uploaded to DA, I still update it every once in a while with school or personal stuff. Thank you! <3 Yeah, that's how I see it too. It disappoints me more I think because she's my best friend, but I suppose it will be better if I save the anime discussions for you guys.

Whoa, I had no idea there was a Golden Sun coming out for the DS! XD I'm so behind on my video game knowledge, but I absolutely need to keep an eye out for that one. I love that franchise. XD
