Hello everyone

Hi everybody! I'm new to this forum. I found it while browsing links on Christian fantasy and sci-fi writing. I had no idea a forum like this existed before now.
My name is Reneé. I chose the username GreenKnightFuu in honor of Hououji Fuu, my favorite character in Magic Knight Rayearth, one of my favorite anime and manga series.
I was introduced to anime in 1998 thanks to my best friend Amy. Anime was really getting noticed in the U.S. at that time, with Pokémon having just come on the scene. Pokémon was, in fact, the first anime I was introduced to, and it continues to be one of my favorites.
Since then, thanks to Amy, to two anime clubs (one formed at my Baptist school thanks to an anime-liking vice principal, and the Starving Otaku Anime Club at my junior college), and to my own research (on anime sites and on Wikipedia), I've seen many other series. However, I have seen only bits and pieces of many of them. I tend to like to watch not-as-well-known series, though I like many well-known series. One of my favorite such series right now is Akage no Anne, an anime version of Anne of Green Gables from 1979 (and which animation great Hayao Miyazaki did some work on, no less).
I also read manga, though I admit I read mostly secular manga (due to the lack of Christian manga until recently - I have read Serenity and a new Christian manga called Tomo, as well as the more traditional-art comics Archangels: The Saga and PowerMark). I was introduced to manga through the Pokémon manga that came out soon after the first two games, TCG, and anime. But as my signature and personalized title suggests, I am a big fan of CLAMP. The first work I read by them was a quirky three-volume series called CLAMP School Detectives (about three super-smart elementary school boys who in a chivalric manner help female students at their school). I also got the two related series, CLAMP School Defenders Duklyon and Man of Many Faces. The first large series of theirs I read was Magic Knight Rayearth, and from then I have become a major fan.
I also read non-CLAMP manga, Tokyo Mew Mew and the two R.O.D. series (the mangas that inspired the Read or Die animes) being my favorites of these.
That's about all I can think of to say. Bye!
