Hello! I'm completely new at this, but I couldn't resist joining, considering that this forum is for Christian's who like anime. :) Where I live, there aren't very many people who like anime/manga, and none of my close friends do, other than my older sister, but she's moved out already :( The town I live in is very small, you see. :)

My dad is the pastor of our church (an Alliance Church), so I have been very blessed to be raised in a Christian home with both of my parents, as well as two brothers and two sisters. Now, I hope I made the right choice in posting that I'm a PK, because I dislike being judged because of it. I've known people who have believed that because I'm a PK, I should try to be perfect and be a perfect role model. I hate that, because, well, I'm me, no matter who my earthly parents are. I love my dad, but I don't want people to base their opinion of me on that.

Now that I've said that, I'm happy to say that I am a firm believer of the Lord Jesus Christ, and all that He has done for me and everyone. God is my best friend, and I love talking to Him. I know that even when bad things happen, and even if everyone I know and cherish abandon me, He'll always be there. I also know of the reality of the spiritual world (like, angels and demons, which are both real, even if we can't necessarily see them) because of certain things that have happened to me.

I hope someday to attend Bible College and to, eventually, become a missionary. :thumb: I also have a love for writing, although I have a tendency to become side tracked and start another story before finishing the first.

And of course, I like manga, anime, and video games (mostly RPGs, though). ;) Full Metal Alchemist is one my sister introduced to me, and it's currently my favorite :) Webmangas are also awesome, and I think that it is a fantastic way to minister God's word. Christian manga is wonderful!

Also, my username, Anystazya, is basically pronounced the same as Anastasia, except the ending is said like 'zee-ah'. Anys is the short form. :)

Anyways, I know I still have a lot to learn about many things, and I'm always happy to learn and experience more with God. Feel free to ask me any questions! And please forgive me if I say or do something stupid, because, again, I'm very much a noob in this area...

Well, I'm happy to be here, and nice meeting you all!

Hi, and welcome to CAA! No worries about being a pastor's kid here; I'm one too (and you'll find a good lot more throughout the site I'm sure XD), and I totally agree on what you said about the stereotype! It's so ridiculous, isn't it? XD Anyways, glad you found us! Post a bunch and let us know if you have any questions! See you around the boards!

Hello and a very warm welcome to you, Anystazya. I hope you enjoy it here. ^_^
FMA is a brilliant series, there are many fans of the series here. ^_^ Have you watched the new series yet?

Ah, third mod in a row to welcome you here! XD Well, they do say that three's a charm or something along those lines.

Anyway, welcome to the forums. Post lots, chat often, and if you have any questions shoot any of us a PM.
I also have a love for writing, although I have a tendency to become side tracked and start another story before finishing the first.

Awesome. I'm also a writer and I've had the same problem, XD. What you should do is just take notes on those random ideas so you have another story to work on when you finish the first, or when you have writer's block, or when you're just in the mood for something different.

So yeah, enjoy your time here.

@ Gelka: Thanks and hi to you, too! :3

@ Radical Dreamer: That's cool that you're a PK, too, and yeah, I knew that there would be more on the site. I just wanted to put it out there :)

@ goldenspines: Thanks! And no, I haven't seen the new series yet, but my sister has. She was very excited for it in the weeks before it's release. lol

@ Lady Rushia: Third mod? In a row? Heehee, cool! XD And thanks for the advice on the writing thing. I'll try that. :) I know I'll have fun here! From what I've seen so far, the people are fun and really nice!

@ Phantom_Sorano: Thanks, and I'll try! :D

I'll do my best to post a lot, and I'm interested in what kinds of Christian people I can meet through CAA. I'm excited!

Hey Anystazya and welcome to CAA! From what Ive read, you will be a great member in CAA, I just know it. Don't worry my best friend is also a pastor kid so I don't judge. You should feel blessed being one. I don't mean that in a bad way because that way you are assured that you're going to be in church whether you like it or not! JK But don't think that just because your the pastor kid means that the other Christians don't have to live up to the standards that God set for you and your family. Every christian should try to live up to God's standards even though it may not always be the most popular thing or the easiest thing. God's standards are for all to follow.

Cool, you're going to a Bible college? Nice! I really want to go to a Bible college like MAC U (Mid-Atlantic Christian University FKA RBC Roanoke Bible College) and become a missionary to Japan; however, my family doesn't really have the money for it(It's really just a dream at this point.). But I hope you do well there and become the missionary that God wants you to be!

I too like RPG video games as well! Im currently playing Eternal Sonata. FMA is a great anime too.

Well I hope you have a great time here at CAA!

My father-in-law was a PK. I can attest that his daughter turned out okay.

Actually, his kid sister became a pastor, and presided over our wedding. No probs here.

Yes, I'm very happy to be a PK. And especially in our church, which is so small, so everybody is friends with everybody, and there's a real, true bonding and friendship feeling you get from it. And about the other thing you mentioned, with God's standards and doing what's right even when it's not popular, I will try my best, because I know that from here on out, everything will just get harder. I've been growing closer to God a lot in this year, and I know that with Him, I can do anything.

Well, I said that I plan on going to Bible College, because that's what God has placed on my heart through certain events. I hope I'll be able to go to the one my parents went to and met at (it's at a different location, but it's the same college) but it's really expensive, so I might go to a different one, closer to home. I also want to go on a missions trip to either Japan or Turkey. That would be amazing.

Thanks for the welcome, and I hope I can become a good member of CAA, like you said. I'm still just getting my bearings, though...well, see you around!

Thanks for the greetings, ErictheFred, Tsukuyomi and Lilac. ^^ The people here all seem really nice, and I can't wait to get to know them better...heehee, but I'm kinda shy outside of the internet. I don't like getting up and talking in front of crowds or large groups of people. I'm better with one-on-one conversations. ^^ I am getting better at it though, and I'm not quite as shy as I used to be...but it's still there ^^

Nice to meet you! I'm resident crazy dragon Robin S. Firedrake. RPG's you say? You ever heard of AE games? Those are some fun, funny and free web based RPGs. And nice to see you want to become a missionary! I could never do that. Ever. I almost faint whenever I try to talk with someone I've never seen before. Really, my vision blurs and my head pounds. I'm glad you can do it!

Well, I'm actually pretty shy, but I believe that being a missionary is what God is calling me to do. Both of my parents went on missions trips before they had kids (my dad went to the Philippines, among other places, and my mom went to Africa). I think I'm more comfortable talking to people about God, because that's where I'll stand up for my beliefs and say something when otherwise I wouldn't have said anything. I know He'll give me strength in this field, and I pray and hope that He'll be able to speak through me to those that need to hear His word. And, I have an awesome church family behind my back. It's small, but they are amazing people, who I know will be able to guide me and help me with any questions I have. It also helps that I'm the daughter of the pastor. ^^ I suppose I have learned many things, especially in the few months since February (a lot has happened to me since then), and I think it would be fantastic to share my testimony with as many people as I can.

Trying to tell other people about God is where I really mess up. I keep thinking I'll flub it so badly that I make a few points against myself. I've done it before... And here's dragonfable. One of them thar AE games I told you about.

@ Robin Firedrake: Oh, is that so? Well, I'll pray that you'll be able to talk about God with other people more. I always want to let people know where I stand on the subject, and that it does no good to try and change my opinion. But I see where you're coming from, honestly. And I'll try out dragonfable sometime! It seems interesting!

@ yukoxholic: Thanks! Hopefully I'll see you around the forums, as well! ^^

Hello there! You seem interesting.

Great to see you around. Hope you enjoy your stay.

I'll take 'interesting' as a compliment...?

That's cool! I haven't been doing a lot of writing lately, actually. Writer's block, some stress, spending more time with God...and of course, being on CAA takes up some time as well. ^^

I'm sure I'll have a good time here!

Much awesomeness. :thumb:

Wow, where do I start. Your intro was great. I love your avatar. I used to study sign language, my sister and I talk to each other (using the alphabet) with when we have to be really quiet. I saw you like karate, what kind do you take? Your user name rocks. I know about the shy thing. It gets better:). ............I think that was it.

I think you'll really like it here. Many cool peoples and subjects!

Welcome to CAA!

lol, your post made me very happy :)

Happy my intro was good. ^^ I'm guessing you know who my avatar is...? I didn't make it, just to let you know.

Yeah, when I talk with some of my friends using the ASL alphabet, it has to be really slow so we can process what they're saying in our minds ^^ But I know a lot of signs that I use to go to some of the songs in church ^^. It's fun.

I take shotokan karate, except the town I live in doesn't have a karate club; we go to the next town over, which is about twenty minutes away. A bunch of my Christian friends, including 3 or 4 of my family members, take it, and a couple of my non-Christian friends do as well. I've been taking karate for two years (with my sempai, who is my sensei's wife, we get a great workout before the class), and I'm a green belt, probably testing for first purple in the beginning of June.

I'm glad you like my username. ^^ It was spawned from Anys, which was an alternate spelling of the name Anise, which I started liking. I wanted to try a longer form for Anys, and Anystazya is what I got. ^^

*sigh* yes, the shy thing. Such a bother at times. But I suppose you're right, and I'll only get to know people on here better if I reach out and try new things. ^^

Thanks so much for the welcome! :D

Hehe, that's good.

Sadly, I don't. I can think of about 5 anime characters it looks like but most wouldn't fit in the context with the word "trust". :) Who is it?

Don't sweat it :). I still don't really like going to Wal-Mart. ^^ But it's a lot better than where I used to be. Think about how far you've come in the last several years (which I'm sure is a lot). Yeah, the people here are great. They don't bite. Well, not very hard anyway.......^^ (jk)

Glad you're liking it here!

It's Sonia Greenwood from the Christian webmanga Game Plan, and made by Inkhana on that site. There are a bunch of avatars there available for use.

It is a lot of fun! Often very tiring, but worth it. ^^ Do you take karate?

Well, if that's how you want to look at it, that's fine too. ^^ I like spelling names differently; it sets them apart and makes them unique :)

Wal-Mart isn't so bad for me...although I sorta have a thing with food-courts. Something about them...I dunno I just don't like them very much. Regular restaurants are fine, though. And yes, I've definitely opened up more in the past few years...especially in the last few months since February, I've learned better how to let God take control and don't sweat silly things, because, well, the world will end someday, and when we're all in Heaven, the little upsets that happen here won't matter, because there will be an eternity with God :)

I'm loving this place more and more as I spend more time on it :)

(and I really like brussel sprouts! And broccoli! And cabbage-both red and green-and asparagus! well, I like those foods when they're not raw ^^)

Used to. Our class lost our room. :( It is tiring but doesn't it feel good after you finish a killer class and know that you licked it, lol? I love that feeling. I took Tang Soo Do.

There ya go! ^^ You're making progress! And you have the right attitude too, God is the one making it easier for me to keep doing things. I can't do it on my own steam.

Lol, I kinda got influenced by my older siblings and my parents. They are very good! ah, and cooked broccoli&cauliflower with cheese sauce...is very very good!!!! My younger brother still has a problem with these foods though ^^
