...show excitment! And emotion! They're usually set apart from the main page by an exclimation link. (Or by a bread crumb if the cookies aren't turned on.)

Hmmm.

Well now...howdy. I think you get the most original way to introduce yourself award. Anyway, hi, name's Ash. Mistress o' this fair community. Welcome aboard! How'd you find us?

How did I find the board?

Ah, so you're wife directed you here huh? Hmm, interesting. Not many gals around this place are old enough....but, whoever she may be, tell her I said thanks for the new recruit! Hope you enjoy your stay here.

My word of the week.

Pleonastic. It's perfect for all those times you wanna say something and just don't know what.

Anyway, it's a rather pleonastic word...

Actually, my wife directed me to my friend's email. Long story short - you got 3 new recruits in under one week. Hmm... Which user is which...

I'll leave that question to the philosophers. :)

Hey, I thought that it was spit pot. Hey, welcome to the boards. I think we would all probably be diagnosed with ADD. I see that you program in Perl.

SPIT POT?!?

My grandmother had one of those. (I'm not making this up.)

And yes. I do. A better tagline might have been:
Whfg nabgure crey unpxre!

Shatterheart is grounded! We had the lightswitch installed for you so that you could turn the lights on and off, not so that you could throw lightswitch raves! Now let's go break open that glow stick and pour it into Homestar Runner's Mountain Dew... (http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail45.html)

oldphil TRIES to program in Perl. ;-))) Of course, since he has the reference standard living about 15 minutes away or so, and actually goes to church with them ...

> It's---SPIT-SPOT!!

What does Spit-Spot mean? Other than the spot left when you spit, which would be ... obvious. :hits_self

TRIES?!?

Look I may not have written the world's smallest perl webserver like SOMEONE I could mention, but at least I program for USEFUL computers!

You're mighty brave in cyberspace, Flame boy!

Your double chins won't protect you from me!

O.o. I'm sorry, that's all I have to say on the issue. This is just too weird. The whole wedding thing was cute, the licking smiley was strange, but this is just plain weird.
