So my friend anonymous is always on this site. I actually joined a long time ago, but I never posted. Lately, my spirituality has been really weak, but what's kind of worse is that I'm really apathetic about it. I sort of felt like coming back and actually joining CAA because I just kept reading and watching (or, more often, just hearing about) so many really anime and manga that are either really terrible or really immoral, and it made me really, really depressed.
I'm an aspiring mangaka, but I'm not a big fan of OEL or the OGM scene, so I prefer manhua and manhwa as manga-esque alternatives to Japanese comics. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!

welcome back. I guess there are a lot of anime and manga that seem to have either questionable story lines or art work. But you do have to realize that it's their culture and they see stuff like this in a different way than we do.

Well, I'm not saying it's any different from American media at all, where that kind of stuff is just as (if not more?!) pervasive. I'm just saying that I've been reading/watching a lot of really bad stuff lately (sometimes more guilty of being poorly written or just stupid than having questionable themes), so it's made me sad

Hey ^^.
Yeh, the immorality is depressing to me, too. That's why I want help the Christian manga genre.

Well, it just means we have to be more careful in what we choose to read or watch. And like darkelfgirl said, maybe we should all chip in in trying to put something out there that other's can enjoy and not feel guilty for reading or watching it??

...sorry, do I know you from somewhere?
JUST KIDDING, OMG PLEASE DON'T KILL ME.
CAA seems to have a disproportionately high percentage of Urasawa fans? Maybe? So yeah, pretty awesome.
And why am I responding to your post when I can just talk to you on IM RIGHT NOW?
