The DND rules are there because in the past, discussion of those anime have lead to flame wars and locked threads, and it's just not worth the headache for the mods. You won't get in trouble for just saying "Evangelion," or mentioning you like the series. However, in-depth discussion is prohibited. An Utena avatar wouldn't be against the rules.
Also, are we allowed to debate here?
Theology and politics are not allowed to be debated. If you wish to debate theology, we have a link to Theology Web at the top of the page. If you want to debate politics, um...I don't know, go to a political site somewhere. XD]Are we allowed to discuss series with potentially offensive material that aren't on the DND list, like Loveless? (Which would be number four on my list of favorite anime, behind Gravi.)[/QUOTE]
I think Loveless actually WOULD be on the DND list, because from what I've heard it's a shounen-ai series. As Christians, we strongly object to any anime that promotes homosexuality in a positive light, and I think that the DND list mentions shounen/shoujo-ai series as being DNDs here. Also any hentai series would be DND, for obvious reasons.
Wow, my post sounded moddish, huh? ^^;; I'm not a mod, but I figured I'd go ahead and answer your questions. At any rate, we're certainly glad you decided not to troll, and we hope you'll stick with us, even if we can't see eye-to-eye on a lot of things.
