I think this topic a little late since I have been posting for over two (I think) months.
*takes deep breath* here it goes!

I was born in Quezon city, Philippines.
later in my life my mom found out that I'm a trouble maker in school (I.e started fights) but I'm not proud of that. I really loved my big brothers who always behind me backing me up when I'm in trouble. my teacher always tells me, to the point of daily preaching, that I have potential.
"potential ?" I said. I was doing fine in school, till I caught dengue fever.
I was nearing death, my Doctor said that I have a 50/50 chance of survival.
this didn't break my mom's will, it only made her stronger.
she stayed and prayed by my side until I got better. before we left the hospital we went to the small chapel on top of the hospital and praised and thank God for my new life. my mom, tells me that this is my new life. the old me is dead, and now I am born once more. I took her word and considered that I lived for a reason, and that reason I shall find out later in my life.
months have passed, the months turned into years.
last year I moved to america to live with my papa and my stepmom.
I am now currently in Las vegas, Nevada. I'm a left handed sophomore in highschool.

well that's all I could remember, hope you guys like my bio.

p.s.
if you want to know more, I'll gladly add more. ;)

Please add more. You sound like you have a wonderful mom. :) I loved the Phillipines for the three months I was there. I was on the island of Mindinao. Is it still there? :forehead: I know there was a lot of fighting after I left. Wasn't my fault. :eyebrow: But, I won't get into politics of other countries here. I'm glad to hear you are now alive and well with us here on this forum. :)

Now, I'm familiar with baka, but what does tensai mean?

Also, I love your avatar. Cardcaptor Sakura is my favorite cute little character in a series.

Are you Catholic, by chance?

When I was there the muslim extremists had just started taking over Mindinao, killing Catholic priests and missionaries. The ones we prayed with to receive Christ were always fearful of what their families would do to them. :( It was the early 80s, and I'm not sure you're old enough to remember, St. Peter. It was closed right after I left. I keep abreast of the Phillipines these days, because I left some wonderful people there. I agree with you on that, St. Peter, they are the most hospitable people I have met while travelling through countries. :) BTW, what island and city were you born in?

I gotta agree with you st. peter, the governments a joke for a long time (spanning from marcos to present) but now that we're here all we could do is pray that the something will change back in at home.

You had dengue? How long ago?

I actually spent a little over two years as a young child in the Philippines at Clark Air Force Base where my dad was stationed. I remember the Baguio marketplace, the base housing, and a Kmart off-base that we bought stuff at. :) I also remember a typhoon -- that kind of sinks into a three-year-old psyche in a big way.

Thanks to this, my dad (who's a veterinarian) has a huge clientele of little old Filipino ladies who love the fact that he can speak some Tagalog.

I had dengue for a month.

shooraijin,I think the ladies in the philippines will like your accent if you did study up on Tagalog. my cousin even thinks that white men has the cutest accent if they tried speaking Tagalog.
