Hello. I agree, this group sure is a great idea. Anything you should know? I guess, be prepared for a derailed thread, and check out the comments forum at the bottom of the main page there's something about VBcodes in there. Anything you're having trouble with?

Heyajiba! Anything you should know? That similar threads thing at the bottom picks a lot of stuff that really has nothing in common with the thread.

Welcome aboard, glad to have you with us. This site is made easier by two things: user cp and get new. Use both these options to keep track of threads. Oh, and do subscribe to threads you think might be important. It really does help.

Welcome!
I am learning Karate myself. I'm only a lowly yellow belt as yet, but I'm learning.

Hi KarateGirl! Welcome to CAA! Well, we now know EireWolf's status, so what belt are you at? I took karate in college as a PE credit. I was about at the point of a yellow belt but never took the official test.

Yay! Good luck! I remember I felt so good when I got my yellow belt. "Yay! Color! It doesn't look like a bathrobe anymore!"
By the way, what style do you train in? Oldphilosopher and I take Shito Ryu.

I train under the style of Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do. Someone tried to argue with me that its not really Karate (it's creator [Hwang Kee] was Korean, not Japanese :rolls_eye ) but hey as Gichin Funakoshi said "The ultimate aim for Karate lies not in victory or defeat, but in the perfection of character of it's participants" and thats what i feel about Tang Soo do also. It's learning how to grow in mind and to better yourself physically.
haha, but enough of that. Its really a lot of fun and i am so glad i decided last minuet to sign up for it!!!

thats cool but self displine isnt for me. lol
I'm a procrastinator, a perfectionist, and a bad speller.(very bad combo for academics or martial arts displines. haha) Yet, I seem to have perfected that. I'm also a master at complete nonsense and "nonpostingness." Some times I'm a complete lune. Anyways, nice ta meetcha. Hmmm technically, I yam trying to learn kendo...........when i get around to actually...........getting started. yup.
By the way, I was homeschooled a while back and I turned out JUST FINE!^_^ *context: I read yer website. nice page*

Welcome, Karate Girl! *waves*
I wanna take any type of sword lessons. Karate would be cool, too, but swordsmanship fascinates me.
