I guess I can write some stuff about myself, since there’s a few similar threads in this section. I’m Josh, I’m 21 and I live in Dayton, Ohio. Ohio is like the armpit of the US. Nothing great at all about it. My dad was in the Air Force, so we here from Hawaii when I was about 3. I was raised in a Christian home my entire life. I grew up on a strict oober conservative Baptist side of things, so stuff like Disney’s Phantasia and cartoons like Heman were tools of Satan, ‘cause it had magic in it. I attened a Christian school pretty much alla my life until I started college. I got saved when I was 6 or 7, but I didn’t start taking my faith seriously until my senior year in highschool. Had a pretty crazy wake up call, so I tired to get my act together and start sincerely practicing what I’ve always been taught. The church I was attending at the time didn’t really have a serious youth group, so I talked to the old youth pastor and started a bible study with a few friends from school and a few kids from the youth group that were dissatisfied with the youth group and wanted to grow more in their walk with God. I have been fortunate enough to have been able to study in depth a few books of the Bible with close friends and try to start applying what we study. A few books/devotionals I’d recommend for anybody interested would be: the seven checkpoints, every young man’s battle, and wild at. Seven checkpoints was super basic yet essential workbook. Most of the kids in the study already understood/knew the material that was being presented, but it was crucial to ensure that proper understanding of Christianity. Its really crazy how people can often misinterpret scripture or just misunderstand what’s being said. It was a fun study nonetheless. Every Young Man’s Battle is a book/devotional about purity. Sex and nakedness is practically thrown at you every day, so this was a really key book for me, as well as the rest of the guys in the group. This book is really amazing. I recommend this for every guy to read. It really opens your eyes to the assault on our purity and gives us ways to fight against all the crap we encounter. In a simple message; this book shows you how to treat women properly without the way entertainment and media portrays, in my opinion. It’s key. Wild at Heart .. well, that’s just too insane to put into words. If you’re a guy, and you have been at a platue in your walk and you want something to really kick you in the face, God style, read this book. It is a difficult read, but you will be VERY GLAD you did. They have a Young Man’s Wild at Heart, but this one doesn’t sugarcoat anything. My favorite memory is going through the book of James, and watching throughout the period of nearly 3 years .. watching my friends change and mature in their walks with God, as well as myself. Its been awesome, and I’m grateful to have brothers that are close friends that’ll keep me accountable. Right now we’re currently doing a Precept study in Phillipians.

I attend Sinclair, a college in Dayton, Ohio. They’re the number#1 community college in the nation, and the LA Times did a few articles about the VISCOM program here. Yay Sinclair. I didn’t do much of anything my 1st year there, but last winter I claimed Visual Communications for my degree studies. Just in case you might now know, VISCOM is pretty much computer graphics. All the purdy commercials and add designs you see that look incredibly awesome are usually VISCOM. Think those really neat car commercials. Not the car dealership ones, those are horrible and suck. Think of the commercials where they make a new car present it to the viewer. More like that .. though that’s more of the film aspect of the program. I’m not too far into my program. I’m taking a few courses this semester, and trying to learn Typography. Typography = robber of sleep and giver of migranes. Notta fan. I also declared a double major in Printing Technology last month. I’m taking intro to print (prereq course) and LOVE it. So much fun, so I decided eh, its only an extra half a year, I love what I’m doing .. so why not? I love Photoshop CS, one of the few programs I’m actually comfortable with and can do novice/intermediate work in. I’m getting better at Premiere, but of course, I try to take the class this semester and they change it to Final Cut Express. I hate Macs. I do all of my work on a PC, and have attempted to make a few music videos to a few different anime: Norma Jean’s “shotgun messageâ€

Ok .. so anime. Its my hobby. I love the stuff. I wish I hadn’t found that Best Buy carried the dvds, ‘cause I buy way too much crap. Here’s a short list of some recent Anime from Japan I’ve found as well as a few licensed series I really enjoyed : Ashiteru ze Baby, Berserk, Bleach, Chobits, Evangelion, Excell Saga, FLCL, Full Metal Panic, Gankutsuou, Ghost in the Shell, Gundam Wing, Great Teach Onizuka, Hellsing, Last Exile, Mezzo Forte, Monster, My HiME, Naruto, One Piece, Paranoia Agent, Perfect Blue, Petit Cossette, Rurouni Kenshin, Tenjou Tenge, Texhnolyze, Trigun, Samurai Champloo, Violinist of Hamelin, Yakitate!! Japan and X.

I like videogames, too. I'm a Final Fantasy guy, so I live off that stuff. RPGs is whats great in life. FF7-10. Lunar. Shadowhearts. Okage. Xenogears (no Xenosaga .. that was crap). I caved in and bought a Gamecube, and Resident Evil 4 is my crack for now. 1st person shooters aren’t really my thing, but this thing won't let me stop playing it. Its like my will is gone.

dude, i LOVE most of the anime's you watch dude!!! Especially aishiteru ze baby, bleach, chobits, excel saga, GTO, MONSTER!!! MAI-HIME!!! naruto, kenshin, etc! Ever seen Azumanga Daioh? EXCELLENT Anime... Air is also very awesome

Final Fantasy eh? you haven't lived till you played ff6 thorughly XD (ff6 is my favorite game of all time)
