Salutations, members of CAA. ^^ I discovered this forum by means of searching Google, and I certainly must say that I am delighted thus far… I'm a very strong Christian in addition to being a Calvinist, and unearthing a forum in cooperation of my chief interests is like discovering a diamond in the rough for me, nay, a miracle. :P Well, bearing in mind that you by now recognize that I'm a new member, I might as well cut to the introduction...

My specified name is Elizabeth (or Liz, whichever you favor...but as this is a public forum, simply refer to me as "Lluvia"), born and in all probability eternally stationed in the state of Missouri, USA. I cannot exemplify my inner-self into text, as my inner-self's factual identity is yet to be entirely manifested, and at the present time, not even I am assured of whom I am... however, I am able to state a few of my hobbies, interests, et cetera. ^^ I take pleasure in studying Christianity (of course), writing poetry and seldom stories, playing video games on my Playstation, browsing the Internet, participating in discussions on forums, anime, debating, deliberating, discussing, learning information that I find to be stimulating, drawing, music (rock for the most part, but I'll listen to any variety of music, excluding R&B and country), nature, biking, walking, reading, and if "contemplating" is considered a hobby, it's incontestably one of mine.

I believe I'll end there, in view of the fact that it is possible to come to know of me from communiqué via the Internet...considering I am not intimidated to articulate all of the elements of my inner-self virtually. I'll be anticipating your replies and hope to make some good friends. ^^ And apart from that, I by now know the primary forum regulations; hence no need to go over them with me. :thumb:

Arrivederci! *Hops aboard the active poster train.*

Pleased to meet you.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

I second the motion. Is it official now? ;)

I'm looking forward to discussing and deliberating with you, Lluvia, but I usually try to stay away from debating. I agree with others, it sounds like you will fit in very well here at CAA. We certainly have some intellectual discussions, but we also have our share of more light-hearted banter, and I'm guessing you'll enjoy both.

Hey--Missouri! We're adding to our Midwset ranks! Watch out, CA and TX...

I really like your avatar and especially your sig, too, Lluvia. I'm currently watching .Hack and Subaru is one of my favorite characters.

Look forward to talking with you on the boards,

I know, I know. But there's no other way we can compete with you CA and TX people other than to band together somehow. The midwest is not exactly an anime hotbed, you know. ;)

Nor North Carolina. Greetings! I, too, look forward to your posts. You seem very intriguing and should be rather enjoyable on my part. (OO, my intellectual side emerges!) I'll be seeing you.
"So David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the LORD. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor."

Just for fun, I tried to look for any sort of mistake whatsoever in that post. (Note: My posts are nowhere near that good.) There are no typos, you used eloquent diction...It's pretty darn near perfect. The best I could come up with was "; hence no need to go over them with me." is not a complete sentence. I'll let you get away with it this time, but I'd better see complete perfection next time. ;)

*Sweat drop.* I...well...*ahem*...it's really quite infinitesimal. *Nods.* Mm hmm. XD;

At any rate... judging from these replies, it looks as though some intense debates occur here... thus, I can effortlessly appreciate the desire to excuse yourself from such, but "debates" and "verbal text boxing matches" are two different things. A debate being an intellectual and rational discussion amid people whom vary one another's "opinions", and a "verbal text boxing match" being...well...it is, in essence, rather self-explanatory. :sweat: I just thought I'd clear that up. ^^ In any case, in regards to the intelligent discussions that, in addition, evidently occur here, I truly can't wait until I can contribute myself within them, although recently I've haven't much time online, thus can't get engaged within any of them instantaneously. -.- Right then, everyone here furnishes the impression of a fun and altruistic crowd, and as consequence, I'll be anticipating our friendships. ^^; Thanks for the welcomes, everyone, I truly value them. ^^
