June 13...so far away...can't wait for...Harry Potter...*head explodes*

The style of this one looks way different from the other two, with a new director and everything. I'm excited, but it's kinda scary how they're making out Emma Watson as a sex object...

Yes what do you mean by this?

Alfonso wants the movie to be a sex movie, or somthing from what ive heard, that why the characters arent always in robes.

Hey wait a second, what do you mean exactly cow?

I don't see it as making her an object... I am wondering what you mean by that, as well.

I probably won't see it because I don't want to rock the boat as far as my mom is concerned (she's very anti-potter... That Harry Potter special thing even turned her against movies I'd been raised with...)

Oh... lets leave the girl alone, if she is um... talking about it in a manner of... anyways its her busness. not ours

emma watson is a very pretty girl, however i dont think the movie is going in that direction (since prisoner had absolutly 0 romance i dont see how it could)... and frankly her clothing in the previews actually looked like they went out of thier way to make her look like a modest 13 year old girl... i dont know where you get sex out of regular clothing... we wear it every day.

I didn't know my comment would stir up such a commotion...sorry^^

It's just that my friends and I were discussing the movies one day, probably late February, and from the various pictures and screenshots we've been seeing it's seems that in the new movie there is some romance stirring up between the three main characters, which we were kind of bothered about, since that wasn't really stressed in the books. We all came to the conclusion that Emma Watson, being the only female lead of the series, was turning into some kind of sex object, or would in the near future. But then again, that's just our crazy theory...

Well, I also do not like her clothes, though the majority of our young society is wearing those types of clothes (only worse) X|
But Emma herself, I think shes done well for her first movie. And from what I read/saw, she seems like a fun and nice person to be with.

And about the movie becoming to romantic, many of the actors/producers.etc. comment that this movie is not for the kiddies because its more dark than the first two...

I don't think there is as much "romance" as they might be playing up in the commercials... though it does seem they are excelerating some of the items from the books ahead of time (not much, but a few things).

I saw the thing on ABC when they showed the 1st movie a few weeks back and in talking about the new movie they said that in this one her and Ron fight quite a bit which sounds about right.

What on earth are you talking about? What is she wearing that is suggestive in the slightest? I have seen the original trailer and the TV spot, and didn't see anything suggestive... Nothing at all. You all must have seen something that I didn't... Maybe it was the ABC special... I didn't get to catch that due to my parents...

Well duh, nothing really is suggestive. But how suggestive can you get with wizards?
and besides; you really need to um... fill out, before you can suggestive at all. But Alfonso's trying anyways.

That's not true... If you've seen "Léon: The Professional" you'd see what I mean (It's rated R and is quite disturbing, particularly this version, so don't take this as a suggestion or request that you see it) Natalie Portman's character is very suggestive, even though she was not fully grown.

I am working against myself, though, because all I was saying was I don't see it in any of the ads. In what scenes does she look suggestive? I am familiar with the story, so I'll know what you mean if you say "The scene where they are in Hogsmeade and..." or something.

lol in the preview she is wearing jeans and a hoodie... a hoody SWEATSHIRT.... ive never seen a sexy hoody sweatshirt... since when does hermione becoming a very pretty girl automaticly mean the director is trying to turn her into a sex symbol? i just dont see a connection... what i think is mabye there are some people out there just looking for SOMETHING to whine about

Yea I'm kinda a whiny person :p

Heheh...Sorry about stirring up a whole lot of trouble in this thread...let's uh...stay on topic, shall we?

So how about that uh, Daniel Radcliffe?

She's just wearing what any teenaged girl would wear, how is that suggestive? She's wearing jeans and a sweat shirt. What's so suggestive about that?

He's awesome, a very good actor, especial sense he was pulled off the streets for the first movie.

Hmm... I'm not sure about that, hehehehe... Seriously, though... I wonder if the stars are going to be in Goblet of Fire... They're all really old now, and there are still 4 more books to make into movies. I think they said that Goblet is in their list, but they weren't sure about Ootp and the next two books. According to IMDB, Goblet of Fire is due next year, but Order of the Phoenix isn't until 2007. I wonder if it is going to kill the movies if the stars leave the new movies.

Frankly... I'd be happy if the people that age that I knew restricted themselves to clothing like that... egad my eyes... makes me kinda sick seeing what some kids wear, but then, in my opinion that statement applies to a lotta girls my age too.
Ummmm....
Back on topic...
I'm hoping to see it the day that it comes out but that's still tbd.
I really liked OOtP most though, so thats the one I wanna see, but i really liked the character of Lupin, so I think this will be a fun movie.

One of them said they where already starting work on the 4th film.... as for if they can keep doing them, it depends on how fast Rowling can finish the next two books (the next on isn't due till the end of 2005 I think).

I don't know if they could pull it off (really depends on how the kids age too), but they did all those movies back in the 80's and whatnot where they had 20somthings doing the teenager parts, it might be doable with them

Eh...here's an article from CNN about the Harry Potter movies...turns out that maybe Danielle Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson (sorry about the comments I made about her earlier heheh ) may be staying for the rest of the series...

Yes I really liked Lupin, too. I wonder how they will do the werewollf part. I think that will be interesting. What does everyone else think about this?

Yes, Lupin is an awesome character, and in the previews I've seen, his werewolf character looks SCARY! I saw the little HBO First Look of Harry Potter and I think the movie is gunna rock! The third book is really my favorite! And I thought the movie was coming out this Friday, June 4th, so what's with the June 13?? Anyway, I'm going to see it with my sister and a some of my friends as soon as it comes out!

Yup, POA is looking sweet, I can hardly wait four more days! *bounces up and down on the spot*
Also, am I the only one getting kinda bugged by the articles stating that HP kids are going to outgrow thier roles? Because typically in Hollywood, most teenage characters are played by actors in their twenties, so if anything Dan Radcliffe and the others are unusually close to the ages of their characters. Not only that, but look at Spiderman, where Tobey Maguire (in his late twenties) managed to pull off playing a high-schooler. And then there's the O.C, Smallville, Dawson's Creek, ect.. Technically, they might very well have another decade before the HP actors start to get too old. I'm seriously hoping they don't recast any of the characters.
