What is a movie that when you saw the preview you thought this could be a great movie, or this is going to be a great movie, But whan you finally saw it, you found out it was total crap?

I'm pretty good at recognizing bad movies without seeing them.

Edit: Hmmmmm...nope, can't think of any.
How about a movie that you thought was going to be total crap but turned out to be one of your favorite movies ever? ^___^;

PG, a talking kangaroo... Nope.
I can't think of anything right off hand... Except maybe for some anime.

Hahahahahahahahaha!
I thought it was going to be crap from the first minute. I never saw it, though... That's because I didnt' like what I saw in the previews...

Movie that looked good but didn't deliver: Timeline. I was sooooooooo excited when this movie was previewed---the concept sounded awesome! In fact, I blew through the book by Michael Criton 3 days before it came out and caught it opening night. I was so bitterly disappointed...they totally butchered everything. In fact, I think there's still a scathing review if anyone wants to search for it in the archives...
I just hope they don't do that to the new King Arthur movie!!
Movie that looked bad but turned out ok: Shrek. I thought it was going to be pretty cheeseball, but it turned out to be pretty hilarious (and only slightly raunchy)
