Few that comes to mind.... I'm bad with names.... I can't pick one...
Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Liam Nelson (is it Nelson? I can't remember), Jeff Goldbloom, Morgan Freeman, Liv Tyler, Jennifer Hale(voice actress), James Earl Jones, and Sean Connorery are cool.
Also, the dudes who did Gilmi, Elrond (Mr. Smith), the CSI dude (I can't even the remember the character's name) and the entire cast of "Everybody Loves Raymond"

Harrison Ford is my favorite actor, hands down. I am and always will be an Indy nut, although I love Star Wars too. ^^
Runners up: Patrick Stewart, Mel Gibson, Ewan MacGregor, Sean Patrick Flannery.
For fav. actress, the award goes to Natalie Portman. Sure I've only seen her Star Wars stuff, but she radiates elegance and grace to me on and off screen.
And Link, here's those names you couldn't quite get: Liam Neeson, dude who plays Gimli is John Rhys-Davies (he's also in Indiana Jones), and the dude who is Elrond/Mr. Smith is Hugo Weaving.

A couple people have said Natalie Portman. Most people know her from Star Wars, but I will always remember her from "Léon." If I was going by just that movie, she'd be one of my faves. The Russian Roulette scene in particular was incredibly moving.
A new favorite of mine is Eliza Dushku... Mostly because of the show "Tru Calling"

Don't laugh anyone, I know this guy is usually the ladies favourite (I have had some strange looks for saying this) but my favourite actor, hands down, is Brad Pitt. Why? Heres why:
Fight Club- This was such an amazing film and he was really cool in it.
Interview with a Vampire- Kirsten Dunst and Tom Cruise were also in this one.
The Twelve Monkeys- Without a doubt my FAVOURITE movie ever.
I also like Harrison Ford, mainly for The Indiana Jones films and Bladerunner; Tom Hanks because he was great in Saving Private Ryan, Tommy Lee Jones for good roles in a number of films, Arnie cuz all his films are kool and Anthony Hopkins because he was EXCELLENT in his role as Hannibal Lector.
My favourite actress is Sigorney Weaver (is that how you spell it?) purely because I'm an Alien geek ^_^ and I thought she was kool in those films. She was also good in Galaxy Quest (funny film) and even better in Copycat.
Don't have many favourite actresses, don't know why. The only other one I can think of is Jody Foster. She was brilliant in Silence of the Lambs (of course) and also in Panic Room.
Thats bout it...

O'yeah, that's right. Thanks, you saved me a google search.
I remembered the dude from CSI, Gil Grissom, yet, I don't know the actor's name. Anyways, I forgot about Tom Hanks - Road to Perdition, Catch me if you can, and Saving Private Ryan are my favorites there. And Sean Bean (Boromir) is cool. He played Alec Trevelyan in GoldenEye, the only Bond Film I liked. And don't forget the Partiot Games.

Mm, someone mentioned Viggo Mortensen...I'd forgotten about him. He's definately up there for me. Hidalgo--his first big movie post LOTR--was pretty good. Not the greatest, but not bad either. And it wasn't his performance that was lacking, just plot. Plus, I think it's great he's gone and done a real different part than Aragorn's rough ranger routine. That's one thing I've been relieved to see lately--I think with the exception of Orlando Bloom, who is scheduled for 2 other "costume" movies (historically situated films) most of the LOTR stars have gone on to do other projects, unlike the poor Star Wars cast who were bombarded with anti-heroes (Harrison Ford), dreamers (Mark Hamill) and Dames in Distress (Carrie Fisher) to make them sick. Glad to see Hollywood isn't trying to milk these actors LOTR roles for all they're worth.
Whew, sorry...long rant there.

Well, to be fair Hamill wasn't that great of an actor anyways, and Carrie Fisher had that whole drugs problem (like being stoned during much of the filming for Return of the Jedi). They were also probably less savvy about typecasting too.
Anyways my faves:
Kenneth Brannagh
Harvey Keitel
Al Pacino
Toshiro Mifune
Actresses:
Sarah Polly

About a cop in the future whos job is to seek out and kill synthetic humans know as 'Simulants'. Thats the basic jist of it (I haven't seen it for a while mind). Its quite an old film but its an absolute classic (my second favourite film ever)
