Just got this from anime e-mail news group that I'm on.

CAPCOM and Sony Pictures Entertainment of Japan have announced on
October 29 a joint project to produce Biohazard: Degeneration, a fully
computer-animated film in the Biohazard horror franchise (known as
Resident Evil in North America and Europe). Sony Pictures Entertainment
of America has already produced live-action films based on the
franchise.

I went and check around the net, if the was true or not.

And look what I found.

Also, ANN has a story about it.

Gamespot wrote: The film will be titled Biohazard: Degeneration (Biohazard is the Japanese name of the Resident Evil series), and will introduce a new storyline within the series' universe. Beyond that, the only detail available about the feature is that it will be released next year.

Oh thank God.
Something actually IN the storyline. Which means it'll actually be worth watching. If they use the CG graphics they have for RE:5, then Capcom will be in good shape.

Lookin' forward to it.

I've been praying for more realistic-style CG movies ever since Final Fantasy: Spirits Within came out. Beowulf looks good, and I like the sound of this.
