This friday the longest running series in American Sci Fi history ends.
Stargate SG1's series finale will air on Sci Fi following a week long marathon of fan favorite episodes.
To celebrate/mourn,the ending of SG1 I think it would be fun if we talked about some of the reasons why this was one of the best Sci Fi series on tv.

Stargate SG1 Ending? That's sad news, but it is good they went on longer than anticipated.

1 Fav character was Jack, of course! I used to be a big Mc Gyver fan.

2 I like the alternate reality Sam who is married to Jack in her reality, and my other fav is the Groundhog day episode.

3 I disliked them all. The one I disliked most was Anubis.

4 The little metal bugs were interesting, then there was the Asguard, hmm not sure if I spelled that right...

5 Yeah, the alternate reality listed above, it was sad but at they were together in that one.

6 All I can say is, How could anyone replace Jack?

Favorite Character(s): Dom de Louise as "Ergo", MacGuyver Dean Anderson as Jack O'Neill, and Michael Shanks as "Dr. Jackson".
Favorite Villain: Baal - he was a classy bad guy.
Favorite Episode: "Window of Opportunity"
Other fav race: the Asgard.

As for the rest, I think Ben Bower replacing Jack wasn't such a bad thing. Just wished that Jack would have been in more of the last episodes. Granted, Jack was a character that is nearly impossible to replace. The fact that Samantha and Jack never got together was a bummer as well....all that chemistry thrown out the window.

I just hate the fact that it ended with the Ori battle still going on. I'm saddend that this great show came to such a quick end.

Favorite Characters:Jack and Sam
Favorite episodes:Too many really to say,this series after all lasted for 10 years.
But I have to say Window of Oppurtunity(the one where Jack and Tea'lc relive the same day over again was especially fun one)I also enjoyed 200 for it's spoof of everything from Star Trek to Gerry Anderson's Supermarionation series.
Those are the two that really stand out in my mind also the Nox one,just because
Armin Shimerman was in it and the one in the first season with the Mongols.
I could go on and on but as I said there are too many to list.
Favorite Villians:Ardra and Baal and the Replicator version of Sam and also
Anubis
Alien Race:The Asgard and the Nox
Alternate Realities:They were all fun,especially the one where all the versions of
SG1 end up in 'Our' universe.I liked the scene with Dr.Frasier when they have to say goodbye to her.
Jack is irreplaceable but Mitchell was a good choice.I just wish that they had made it so that it was Cameron and Valla instead of Daniel and Valla.Guess too much of a
Crichton and Aerin shipper from Farscape.
