Longest NCAA Home Winning Basketball Streak Ends

Postby mitsuki lover » Wed Feb 14, 2007 1:15 pm

It finally happened.Gonzaga University that held the longest home winning
streak in recent NCAA history finally lost at home.It came after a record
50 game home winning streak. The school that broke the record was
Santa Clara.
The loss came at a time when GU was already shocked by the arrest for
possession of illegal substances by two players over the weekend.
It also placed them in a spot they have been little familiar with over the course of the last several years:Second Place.

Even though I have no connection to GU and don't really follow any sports team that isn't local, but they had one heck of a streak going.

It's a shame they lost.
It's the drugs fault (Wait do they even have a connection? Like was anyone disqualified? I didn't see that past game).

Well only the one player was a starter,Heytvelt, the other wasn't,so it probably didn't make a difference.Though the good news for Zag fans is that they won the
WCC Tournament again.
