I Was on the Radio Today!

The start of my voice acting career began today! Here's what happened (THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL DEBATE!):

I was in bed, 1/2 asleep, listening to "NPR -- National Public Radio". There was this former senator on a call in talk show talking pro about the war and our president. The callers were asking questions, and this guy was answering the questions right and left, really dismissing the callers. That's when I decided to call in myself and ask him a question.

After about 10 minutes of dialing and redialing, I finally got through. I was a bit nervous, but I knew what I wanted to ask. Then I was introduced as the last caller--here's how the conversation went:

Host: "Joshua from Scotlandville. Good morning and thank you for calling."

Socks: "Hi, Jim. How are you?"

Host: "I'm doing well sir, thank you."

Socks: "Good to hear. I have a question for your..umm..guest (His name had slipped my mind). At what do you think our president will say "Okay, that's enough, let's back off?"

Senator: "... I really don't have an answer for that."

And that was it. Just 30 seconds of fame! Do you guys think I asked the right question, or did I just make a complete dingbat of myself?

Dude, you called in to NPR. Total dingbat. :)

Naw, just kidding, man, I'm sure you came off no worse than the average caller.

NPR is da BOMB! I wish I was tuned in XD

Anyway, I didn't understand your question. Exactly what were you asking?

You made someone who thinks they always have the answer speechless. That's definitely not a bad question.

You had a right to ask that question. I'm glad you did.

Wooo!!! KBS now joins the CAA radio group. (or The People From CAA Who Have Been on the Radio TPFCAAWHBOTR) I was on the radio this year. I called in on a post Jaguar game radio show and got on the air. Unfortunately it was after a loss, so the mood was not to happy. I asked them if they felt if the Jags had a chance at the Divisional title or would have to get in with a Wild Card. Obviously, we got neither...... Anyways, welcome to the TPFCAAWHBOTR KBS!!!

If I am reading it right you were asking at what point the President might say enough is enough in Iraq and bring the troops home?

BINGO! That's what I was asking (Or attempting to ask). In the back of my mind, I was thinking "Good grief, they're going to think I'm stupid or something", but when I heard him stammer that he didn't know the answer, I was floored!

This is a question that everyone is kinda wondering.IMO they should begin with the troops that have been in either Afghanistan or Iraq for a year or more, plus anyone who has had more than one rotation over there. That way you help the morale of our troops.
