Oh I'm so happy that it's going to focus on the true star of Street Fighter, Chun-li....Waitaminute...
Wasn't the true star of Street Fighter the character that every anime, comic, and game focused on? Yeah! His name was Ryu and he had a cool enemy Akuma and sweet moves like Shoryuken and Hadouken.
Oh Well at least in this Street Fighter movie I cann Chun-Li do police work! Who needs epic karate duels when you got that!

I wonder . . . will the actress portraying Chun Li have to take steroids and focus on weight training her legs heavily to achieve the proper look? Is that even possible? XD

In the surreal Jackie Chan movie City Hunter there was a Street Fighter section where the characters turned (for no good reason) into characters from Street Fighter (in a section wholly unrelated to the plot). That's the closest anyone could ever come to actually doing anything good with the movie.
That said, the Jean-Claude version had Raul Julia, who stole the show.

I saw that scene from City Hunter on YouTube. That was awesomely bad. Jackie Chan dressed up as Chun Li ~ and doing the victory "Yatta!" pose? Priceless.
