I can't believe there wasn't already a thread about this. I finally saw the movie today, and it was AWESOME. It was even better than I had expected, and I had high hopes.

If you've seen it, what did you think?

If you haven't yet, go see it. Now. Before it's gone.

I spent all my money on Superman and Pirates! .__.
But that's alright to me, NL looks funny, but it doesn't really look like something I would HAVE to see on the big screen. Good to know that it's enjoyable. ^^

(Didn't feel like making a new thread on it^^)

Watched this last week and it was great^^ Randomness... a clean movie (except for my the guys' training which was anything BUT clean) It's definately one of those movies you have to watch with a group of friends though. I never really got "the full Napoleon Dynamite experience" the first time around (missed lots of it when my friends and I first watched it) and then after that no one would stop talking about it, so it just didn't work out :/

As for Nacho... at my church camp some guy dressed up like Nacho and did a bti of a performance on stage and everyone called him Nacho after that so I was like "I gotta rent that when it comes out!" Heh best quote was in that song... very amusing movie^^

It looks like a really bad movie to me. Plus an entire waste of time of nothing but slapstick comedy and some lame humor.

Not worth my time and money. Plus it has horrible ratings from rottentomatoes.

You have to be for that stuff to like it^^ And I hardly trust ratings from sites. If I hear good thigns about a show, yeah I'll watch it, but if I hear "it's TERRIBLE!" etc etc, probably just made by a person who just wasted into that type of movie...

Of course I watched it! The whole movies premise was wrestling!! What's my name again? Something.... Otaku. Geez, I wish I could remember what the first part was.... Oh yeah! It's Wrestling!! I'd be controdicting myself if I didn't see it. (Which would then cause a rip in the time, space continum and no one wants that.... I think.)

Ok, enough of the silly. I greatly enjoyed this movie. The Luche Libre style of wrestling was well represented (it was so great seeing the two midgets do that moonsault!) and Jack Black was as funny as ever! If you liked Napolean Dynamite, then you'll probably like this one.

Napolean Dynamite isn't my cup of tea but I'll watch NL simply because Jack Black wearing spandex and a cape is just WRONG. It's so wrong I've got to watch it teeheehee. XD

I really liked this movie and not just because I'm Hispanic. :P The storyline is based very loosely on a true story but there are Christian values presented in the movie, as my friend said "The movie clearly demonstrates that when you operate out of pride, or act out of selfishness, you cannot succeed, but when you surrender to God you can do even the most absurd things. There's even a conversion during the movie, weird as it is." buut you'll have to watch to know who he's talking about. :P
God Bless,
Souba

my pastor at church during his sermon gave an analogy of him going to see nacho libre and having to leave because some prankster pulled the fire alarm while his movie was going. i don't remember what the story was supposed to mean for the sermon, but his story was hillarious.

Didn't get great reviews on rottentomatoes, but I don't ALWAYS trust rottentomatoes. And besides, Nacho Libre looks funny. I REALLY want to see it. Mostly because I LOVE Jack Black. He is awsome!
