That Pilgrim`s Progress 1989 movie

The message was great and all but can anyone agree that it was completly low budget? The acting was horrible, the special effects made me throw up, everything other than the message was blaintly horrible.
The only good actor was Liam Neason, and we all know what he has gone on to become....
Wait, about the low budget: I just realized there were people filming a movie in my back yard back in `89. Ohhhhhh
(Shut up, I know I wasn`t born yet!)
Alot of people say: "It was fine for a 1989 movie. Name one movie that had adequate special effects before 1983".
Two words: Star Wars. Made a decade before.
One last thing. Me and my freiends have an inside joke and if you`ve seen the movie you`d get it too...
The wages of sin is death
