CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I noticed this a long time ago, but never bothered making a thread about it...

I could only find two examples in Season 4, but I'm sure I've seen her many times on different seasons--

Somehow I DOUBT it. Especially knowing that the Simpsons' openign has been around... since '89 was it? or '90? Either way MANY years before Eva was even out :/ It's just a girl with blue hair.

Yeah, I'm just going for coincidence here too. I think they would have done more to make it obvious if it were really an in-joke.

And here I was expecting the real Ayanami as a guest on the Simpsons...plugsuit and everything!

It does kinda look like Rei! Except for the glasses. But I could imagine that girl in EVA-00 stomping Santa's Little Helper's doghouse.

Yeah that's what I thought, but I think it's not her. They definitely would have parodied the plug suit, Gendo and the imagery of the series if it had been her

Which reminds me of one Simpson opening were they were actually dressed as anime characters (say it again a couple weeks ago and totally forgot about it!)
