It's been anounced. I'm not sure whether to be excited about this, considering POTC is one of my favorite movies of all time, or too be very worried, given Disney's track record for crappy sequels.

yeah, i heard that keith richards (johnny depp's inspiration for jack sparrow) is supposed to be playing jack sparrow's father, dunno if that's 100% true as of right now, but i heard it from my mom, so there must be some credibility there

It should be pretty good. Johnny Depp is awesome at this style roll. I enjoyed him quite a bit in the first film...hopefully he can come up with some new wit for the new film.

I hope it's good, cause I love the first one! Johnny Depp is absolutely brilliant! Does anyone know when it's coming out?

2006 or 2007 I guess. The longer they take the better - then they can at least have more time to GET IT RIGHT AND NOT MESS IT UP.

They're actually filming 2 AND 3 in parallel on sets at universal studios and in the (duh) Carribbean. I've heard the Keith Richards thing too, and I know he liked the first movie so....could be true. I'll bet on at least 06 for the second one and 07 for the third movie... especially if they try to top the first one.

Yes! Wil got on my nerves too. Again, it will be nice to see Johnny Depp reprising Jack again. I'm really praying this one really turns out to be really good. It would be awesome if they managed to surpass the original.

I hope this ends up being good...but it would be really sad if 2 crappy sequals tainted the awesome first film. Nothing anyone can do though except wait and hope.

I. am. going. to explode!! This is my favorite movie on earth. Just ask Yumie and she'll tell you that I've probably seen it a thousand times! Rock on Pirates! Can't want to see the continuation of the saga. *glances at projected release dates* *begins work on time machine*
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

This movie has no reason whatsoever to be any good... which is encouraging, because the first didn't either. Provided that the dialogue is good and Jack Sparrow plays a similar role, I'll probably consider it worth seeing.

Wow, when did you guys find out about this? I found it out sometime around Christmas.

Will was ok, but he`s more of a pretty boy. The only good fighting scene he was in was in the blacksmith place against Jack.
If Jack, didn`t act drunk all the time, I`d like him alot better.

Orlando was better as Legolas.

Could be good, could be bad. Can't tell. But are they still going to do the whole skeleton pirate deal this time? That's what really rocked about the first one, so how could they beat that?

Just a little trivia stuff. You know the big black pirate (the one that slaps the girl on the boat)? My uncle actually knows him. :P Yeah, the two of them were in this improve group together.
