Ok, i found this out on a website and had to shair it. I'm sure many of you have seen Cast Away and was wondering what was in that package he never opned? Well theres a way you can find out. I all ready did it, but i'm not going to tell you. In order to do this you haft to have the 2- disc DVD verson of the movie. If you don't have it, but want to know PM me and i'll tell you.

Ok, First Insert the second disc from the 2-disc set and then select 'Video and Stills Gallery' from the main menu. Once there, highlight the 'Raft Escape' menu entry and hit the Left arrow key on your remote. A winged symbol will appear on the screen. Press Enter now and in an audio clip director Robert Zemeckis will reveal to you the contents of the unopened FedEx package.

There you have it!^^

I bet it was divorce papers

Edit:
I did a google search, and this is what came up:
In the movie Cast Away, Tom Hanks plays Chuck Noland, a FedEx employee who is stranded alone on an island for four years. Shortly after he arrives on the island, several FedEx packages wash ashore, and he opens all but one of them. What Chuck never realizes is that the one package he didn’t open contains a solar-powered, waterproof, satellite cell phone!

At least that was what director Robert Zemeckis said was in the unopened package during a question-and-answer session at a major university. But the audience laughter that greeted Zemeckis’ "revelation" indicated that they thought he was joking, as indeed, he surely must have been.
It matters not what is in the box of FedEx, but what is in the box of ones mind...

Ooh, mystical... I could have sworn that it was metal working equipment, since that's what the symbol meant... She worked with metal to make sculptures, didn't she?

No, no, wait!

It was the same thing in the box at the end of SE7EN...

Ooooorrrr...

Wondertwin Power Rings?

The rules to Fight Club?

Wildy? (1000000000000 points and a marriage to me if you know what that is. Okay, only if you're female. If not, I gues... uh... I could take care of your goats. Assuming that you indeed farm goats.)

Well Tarantino has said himself that it was never meant to have anything specific in it besides a lightbulb.:P He planned it as a "McGuffin" plot device or something because the plot centers around it somewhat but it's just to keep people guessing and not really important or revealed.

Sure Marcellus had the bandaid on the back of his head, sure the combo was 666, sure it was "divine intervention" that stopped the "devil's servants" bullets, but in the end it was just a thing to throw in there to keep people interested and guessing.

What on earth are you on about? Tarantino had nothing to do with Castaway! And there sure weren't any supernatural elements to the movie.

As far as I know...
The whole point was, it was his job to get that box there in the best condition he could. It was a testament to his determination to get it there by any means
But thats just how I saw it...maybe someone else saw it different.

Ah, it's OK. That seems like the good reason. Thank you.

I personally thought that the contents of the box wasn't as important as the reason he left it unopened. For him, opening the box meant giving up on the idea that he would ever escape this island- if he opened the box, it would be like sentencing himself as doomed to stay there forever. By leaving the box closed he was holding out hope that one day he might actually be able to deliver that package. When he did, in the end, it was his final triumph over the island. He fulfilled the dream that kept him going.

This doesn't mean that I'm not dying to know what was in the stupid thing.

Sigh... Long post.
