The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Trailer!

(17mb file - right click and "save target as")

Some of my thoughts about it:
The trailer looks cool, but its too fast to see stuff clearly. It does look a lot lighter (in tone and colour) then I first thought it would but this suits Narnia better. Seeing the trailer I'd probably say its a high possibility it will be a PG movie. Would have been nice to have Jadis with black hair, but I guess you can't have it all.

It will be shown before Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and will be shown on tv May 7th. (Info from Narniaweb.com)

Enjoy!

I do believe a "wow", in the truest sense of the word is appropriate in this circumstance. Or maybe an 'awe-some'.
Or maybe "THIS LOOKS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC MATE!' would suffice.

Narnia looks a lot better with a bigger budget than $2.50 (ala BBC series).
Can't wait! Aren't there more Narnia fans?

Lucy looks so much cuter!!! Actually, all the actors looks alot better. The witch too, looks more believable than the BBC series. However, I think I'm going to have to confess I have a soft spot for the Aslan in the BBC version :P

But his mouth doesn't even mouth at the same time as he talks! Yes, Lucy is more Lucy looking than the beaver looking Lucy BBC had. I think everyone who likes BBCs version can tolerate everything but her. Not to be mean or anything, but they sure got the wrong person for the role! These actors look the part a lot more. Although I find it strange and will take time getting used to Susan having the correct hair colour!

Yeah, I know his mouth was completely out of sync, but that's what I love about him!!! And his cuddliness :P I want a giant lion suit like that!! *pouts*
Haha ;) Though the Aslan in the trailer looked mighty fine! Strewth, it might actually look believable when he talks and fights ;)

Hehe ok, ok. Tomorrow/today is my last day of freedom before uni starts up again (o joy o joy), so I'd better enjoy it :P Good night W4J and fellow Narnia-loving CAAers!!

Btw, just as a side note I used to have a stuffed lion toy called Aslan... I loved that thing

I'm not a wimp! I don't want to be a zombie tommorrow! I saw what happened to them in Shaun of the Dead and I don't want that to happen to me!
Have a great day and enjoy it!
A stuffed lion called Aslan? Awesome! I used to have stuffed lion called Simba.
Good Night!

I might see these because they sounded from what I had heard like they had Christian themes in the books like LOTR and I am more of a movie person than I am for books. I started reading the first of those books one, but just couldn't get into it.

Narnia is one of my favorite books! I don't like how so many people look at Narnia as a children's series and then don't read it! I mean it is...I don't know how to say it! Just AMAZING!

W4J, just checked on that link, and the site said Disney had asked them to remove the link, so it's no longer there. :(

we wants to see it, precious, we do.

i really can't wait until december to see this... *jumps around in anticipation* *pauses* sorry, i'll contain myself.

i haven't seen the old BBC versions in YEARS, so i might have to find and rent them to tide me over until then. and read through the series again. i am glad to hear that Lewis's stepson, Douglas Gresham is keeping them faithful to the book. what i have seen on the various websites looks well done, artistically, so... *crosses fingers*

Assuming that it is the same one, they showed this trailer last night during Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets.

It was pretty good. It does look rather lighter than one would expect initially. We'll see.

I'm a little worried about Disney taking the driver's seat. I love this series to no end and I'd hate to see it ruined by politcal correctness.

Oh, and Zilch and I still make fun of the old BBC's Lucy's teeth.

Disney only market the movie. Walden Media are the studio that are producing it and funding it, so I doubt that PC will play a part in it.

Yeah, BBC's Lucy was a bit beaver-like. No beaver-teeth in sight!
Aw! Don't they look so growned-up?

Have any of you listened to FotF/BBC's radio theatre version of the Chronicles of Narnia? I have the entire set and I love them.

I've listened to part of the Magician's Nephew BBC radio version on CD but it lacked something. Uncle Andrew's voice was far too pleasant for his character and there were a lot of other things. I've heard a sample of the Focus on the Family versions and I may buy them - they are much better!

Focus on the Family teamed up with BBC for this version and the quality is excellent. It did nothing but make me love the books more and I can almost guarentee that you'll love them.

Ooh, the trailer looks awesome! I'm getting pretty excited about this. I'm not really a hardcore fan or anything though, so I'm not too picky. I just know it looks cool. My sister read the book to me many years ago when I was little. And I watched the cartoon and some of the BBC movies.

O btw, the link on the first page doesn't work anymore.
