I can't believe there's no thread for this yet. o.O

Well, what did everyone else think? I liked it. It was sort of Mission Impossible meets Indiana Jones.

To be honest I was not impressed by it in the trailers...but I am hearing more and more good things about it...so I may consider seeing it at a matinee or something. Especially hearing you compare it to two of my favorite movies. I'm not a huge Nicholas Cage fan, and that coupled with what seemed to me like a weak story was not doing much for me...but who knows, I might like it after all. If I do, I know a certain Mainer admin who'd never let me live it down. I was quite...verbal in my displeasure.

Was it really that good? We had talked about going to see it this weekend. I was looking forward to Alexander; but, Colin Farrell (sp?) as Alexander the Great... um, yeah. Anyways, it sounds like it might be worth checking out.

And, I'm with you Ashley, I am not a big Nicholas Cage fan at all. -_-

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I know beyond the shadow of a doubt when a certain Red-Name Mainer reads this I will be promptly teased to no reasonable end, but...

WOW! I can't believe I hated this movie! It was incredible! Definately one of the best action films I've seen...and though the history sounded a *little* iffy to me, it was still pretty believable. The acting? Superb. The camera work? Incredible. The plot? Fantastic. My judgement? Go see it. Now! Gyp is right, it's exactly like Mission Impossible meets Indiana Jones.

Hmm... Well, I'm going to be the devil and say... pppbtth!

There was the whole glorification of freemasonry, then how incredibly convenient a few things were, and finally the yahoo search... Lame... The last two wouldn't bug me much if it weren't for the glorification of freemasonry. My uncle was a mason until he died... Not noble. Not cool or honorable... Very bad stuff...

Anyhow, it didn't help that I was missing a portion of the screen the whole time, I guess.

That's just my opinion.

It was panned by the reviews I've heard in this neck of the woods, but everyone I've heard who went to see it loved it. I'm so torn.

I've been wanting to see this movie ever since I saw the trailers. It looks awesome to me :D.
