CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I must admit, this movie is my favorite right alongside the Kenshin movie. Who else has seen it? It was sad...but also funny, and the songs weren't that bad at all (especially for a Disney movie).

I loved it when I was little, but after seeing Jungle Emperor Leo, I realized it was one huge rip of that. I still like it a bit.

Ooh, Jungle Emporer Leo.. Lion King wasn't long enough to rip off all of Jungle Emporer Leo, hehe, though it did rip off some of the main points (particularly the father getting killed by Leo's aunt, and Leo being driven out to live on his own and seeing his father in the clouds, also the monkey...)

Being an anime fan feeling betrayed by disney, it's hard for me to look positively at this one, but we can accept it as easily as we accepted the way Walt Disney himself would alter old faeire tales... It's called storytelling. The only difference was that at least he didn't take credit for having written Snow White. The Disney company passed Lion King off as their first original production.

i loved the lion king... good disney movie. i also really liked aladin. by any chance have you seen the lion king broadway show?

Um, I've never heard of Jungle King Leo, much less seen it, and now I don't think I would want to if it takes away the joy watching the Lion King brings. I love the Lion King!! It's in my top 3 favorite Disney lil-kid movies (lol, it's hard for me to have favorites w/ regular movies or books, so this is like the only thing I'm able to have favs of, don't ask me why, I don't know).
You learn something new about it when you watch it anew-for example, don't tell me that as a kid you actually knew that the stars really are great big balls of gas flying billions of miles away so you could get that joke in the movie It also tells a great story too. All of my friends think that it's a really cool movie too (for a Disney one). Imo, if you hadn't seen Jungle Emperor Leo, you would still love that movie (or at least think of it in better terms).
