I thought the film was good overall except for 3 things:
[Spoiler]1. The fact that in the end, the place where the mother lives is completely untouched by anything at all. No veins, nothing exploded...nothing.
2. His son somehow survives by seperating from the group after running straight into a rising fireball from a ship coming out of the earth.
3. The alien ships being planted a million years in advance., in contrast to the flying saucers just landing from Mars. [/spoiler]
Other than that, liked it alot.
