As I remember, some will be blue screen, but they filmed in New Zealand and Croatia for parts of Narnia.

New Zealand......hm.....what other movie was made in ... New Zealand.....

(I`m just kidding, I`m perfectly aware it was LOTR. Imagine if this was released at the same time that LOTR was. What a fiasco that would`ve been.

I hope I'm not gravedigging...but with LWW sooo close [Dec. 9]...I have to post something!

I'm so excited about this movie! More than Harry Potter! I felt tingly when I saw the wolves...it seemed real to me. At least they are not people in costumes! ^^

And on a sidenote, I get to finally see what a Turkish Delight looks like. I always thought it was a mound of pink, sticky, taffy-looking stuff.

Yeah! So close, yet so far away. I'm tremendously excited about this movie, even more so than LotR and that's saying something.

One wonders how C.S.Lewis would respond to the commercialization of his work
by the turning of his popular Chronicles into a video game.

Cool! I'm looking forward to seeing this movie. My fourth grade English teacher read this book to my class but I don't really remember much. ^_^;

A muppet aslan wouldn't really be able to fight, and with most of the creatures, they do have other than CG stuff for them in the movies... The wolves, for instance, are a mix of CG and real wolves. I don't get why people hate CG so much... Puppets in movies, when they first started using them, looked horrible... They've had over 70 years of Animatronics and even more of puppets in movies to build up to what they had, over 40 years to get to, say, Aliens. Give CG some time, appreciate another form of art and don't instantly consider it souless just because it ws made on a computer... Remember, it was HUMAN BEINGS that created it, still...

My excitement level is so high right about this movie coming out next week that I can't restrain myself and jump up and down squealing anytime the trailer comes on the TV. And if all goes well sunday and some tickets are left, I'll be going to an early showing on the 8th :evil:

And I've heard a rumor that I can't seem to confirm, so if anyone else knows anything, it would be helpful... that Disney is charging $9 for tickets even for matinee prices and other normally discounted prices. T_T

I need to hurry and finish the rest of the book. This movie looks AWESOME. I can't wait. The CGI looks spectacular, but that's to be expected when it comes from the same team that did LOTR. All I can say is I hope they stay as true to the books as possible and leave in the symbolisms that C. S. Lewis intended.
"For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." - Isaiah 9:6

Here is a 60 second snippet from the movie in hi-res. If you are totally against spoilers avoid this, but for all those who like to see a little of it check it out. It shows the charge before battle (so its not hugely spoilerific) but moreso than some like.

Be warned its a large file.
