death of a dream

*sniffs* It's true...there are no more heroes. Manning, Roethlisberger, they all let me down. I badly wanted to knock NE out of the superbowl list. So it is with a heavy heart I shout:

GO PHILLY!

Take down those pats at the moment it hurts most. *runs from the rabid NE fans*

Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls
once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning
bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love
without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's
my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.

Nail pierced hands they run with blood
A splitting brow forced by the thorns
His face is writhing with the pain yet it's comforting to me

Well, the Pats were lucky when the refs couldn't identify a fumble if it bit them in the... well, I don't want to get banned. I'm not a rabid fan of anything, but the only way it could have been more obvious that the Raiders were robbed that year was if the refs held a pistol to their head

(The first year a Super Bowl felt tainted)

Raiders were robbed

Amen. However, as much as I hate the Patriots...they are the hardest working football team in the NFL right now. They will beat Philly and they will become a dynasty. I myself, will probably be rooting for NE over Philly simply because I do not like Philly. *shrug* Those who play in the Superbowl have earned it.

Well, yeah, that's true. I don't think they earned it that year, but after that, I do have to admit they did on their own
(hard to type with gritted teeth ;) ).

I don't normally get worked up about a game and turned it on just to see what a game in a blizzard looked like, but I remember I startled my late grandmother by jumping out of my chair and yelling "@#$%! Why don't you just hold a gun to their heads?"

Now if it were the NHL, I could understand getting worked up...

Call me bitter, but I will cheer for anyone to knock NE off their winning streak. I flat out don't like them. So, I will be cheering for Philly simply because the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

So, does this mean you're mortal enemies until the Superbowl's over? ;)

Go Philly!!! I want anyone but NE to win.

Someone should tell them pride comes before a fall...
A nightingale in a golden cage
That's me locked inside reality's maze
Come someone make my heavy heart light
Come undone, bring me back to life
It all starts with a lullaby

The Patriots are an awesome team, take it I don't like them you have to admit, they're actually a team not just a collection of maybe two or three really good players. That's why, they may be just like the Steelers, Packers, Cowboys and 49ers of old, a dynasty and this decades' dynasty.

Their defense is great, and Tom Brady reminds me alot of Joe Montana, he never gets nervous when it counts, like Chris Berman says on Sportscenter, "All he does is win football games".

I'm going for the Eagles but I'll be smart and won bet any money and will expect the Pats' to pull this one off.

I'm holding a grudge against the Eagles, so that alone will make me "root" for the Pats. My grudge is this: The Eagles rested Brian Westbrook for the last two weeks of the season. This cost me not one, but two fantasy football championships. I was playing for the championship in both of the leagues I entered and I also had Westbrook in both leagues. I lost one game by 3 points and the other by 0.12. If Westbrook had played (even just the first half) I would have likely won both games.

GO PATS!
