This is a trend where you get to talk about comics. Remeber to stick to the rules of CAA.

Invincible is a great comic. It is my favorite. It's like someone took spiderman and gave him superman's powers, and then complimented it with great writing and fantastic art support. It's revolutionary when the comic is more about the people than it is about epic fights and whatnots.

Same here... one of my favorite games. Since this was the general entertainment board, I was thinking this was a movie version announcement or something...

And I don't read comics really. I like to look at the pictures if it has awesome artwork but that's about it :D Oh, except for the Sandman series. That's like the only series I've actually read (er, reading, I have the huge ultimate sandman volume 1 I'm about halfway through). Which amazingly has crappy artwork but it's the only series I've ever picked up and actually stuck with and I absolutely love it so far (I knew I would based on what I heard of it though). Which reminds me... Gotta order volume 2 so it arrives by the time I finish :D

I like Pixie. Of the X-Men. :) Note my avatar. That's her.

My dad's a comic collector.

I'm a Batman fan myself - I grew up on the animated series. I also really enjoy X-Men for the most part. Nightcrawler has my heart.

The Sandman's my absolute favorite. And I really miss The Mask. Wish I could find it in TPB. Also, Silent Hill: Sinner's Reward. The rest of the SH comics (the Scott Ciencin ones) are total bottom, but this one's great. And I have ther first 2 volumes of The Maxx, I need to get the others sometime.

I'll try Sinner's Reward then, because you were right, they stunk. SandMan easily put me back in to reading comic books after years of disgust with the medium. To this day, Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors.

Agreed with The Sandman. It is a must and it opened my eyes to the world of graphic novels beyond your weekly superhero-in-tights antics. Interestingly enough, as scarecrow pointed, most of the real worthy graphic novels' (think stuff made by Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore or Frank Miller) art is not particularly easy on the eyes which goes to put the relevance in the writing.

I strongly believe in comics as a narrative medium as I believe it capable of communicating ideas in ways that neither writing or art alone could.
