HALP! Constantly refreshing screens

So... There are certain places I go to with firefox now, and all of a sudden (ever since I installed Grease monkey and child safe), it will constantly refresh on certain types of pages... If I try to look at one of my comments on kotaku, look at a full screen video on youtube, or do a few other tasks, the page will load partially, then RELOAD before it's done and never stop.

I've uninstalled the two firefox addons in question, and I reset my computer... I'm thinking of deleting and reinstalling firefox or even moving on to the beta of FF3, but I'm wondering if this may have been more malicious... Would a virus infected (or trojan) addon slipped past Mozilla and gotten onto their page? I swear, none of this started until I installed that grease monkey addon... And it was weird, because it had no icon, unlike all the rest, and it told me it was unsigned, but I didn't worry about it because it came from Mozilla's page...

With Greasemonkey installed, certain websites don't load properly, especially ones that are Flash-heavy, like Youtube. That's your problem.

Bob, I have the same problem with FireFox also.

But, I don't think it's GreaseMonkey that's doing it.
I don't have that installed and my browser still does it, so it's probably something else.

What kinda Ad blocker do you have installed?

I finally found something about this in Mozilla's bug database... It was skype. It's that skype plugin that converts telephone numbers into skype links. I uninstalled it and it stopped... Thing is, it didn't START doing this until I installed grease monkey, even though I uninstalled it rather soon afterward... Guess whatever I did when I installed that just did something to the skype plugin, but I'm not having the problem anymore...

I... don't have the skype program and I was having difficulty with the Coleman website this morning doing the same thing.

Hmm... Yeah, well, chances are it's a plugin's fault. I'd disable each of our plugins, one at a time, until you find the culprit.
