Website "Lag"?

Postby Okami » Thu Dec 06, 2007 1:01 pm

Okay, so this is a first for me. My internet is fine, running at high-speed as usual. Every website I go to loads up fine, and pretty fast-pace. Like normal. It was this same way on my laptop as it is now on the family computer. (For those of you who don't know, my laptop's power cord is busted and I need a new one, so I'm stuck on this thing. Ugh.) But there's one difference.

There's a Christian forum that I just started frequenting back in October (November, technically, because it took a while for registration to go through) and it worked just fine on my laptop.

But here on this computer, it loads and it loads and it loads, until it has five bars loaded...and it continues to look like it's loading, but it never loads. It just sits there.

I'm stuck. I don't know what to do...I don't think there are any filters or blocks on this computer. What could be causing this holdup in this one website? All the other sites I visit load no problem, but that one does nothing.

I really need to access it, but I don't have the means to do so. Anyone have any ideas? :?:

Is this just in IE? Opera? Firefox? Have you tried a different browser?
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.

IE7. I would switch to Firefox (on my own laptop, I use both) but, alas, I am not allowed to download anything onto this trash heap (okay, so it's not THAT bad, I just hate the keyboard...clack clack clackity clack) unless given very, VERY strict permission by my stepdad....which doesn't happen often.

I'll have to ask him, though. So...we'll see.
