Using a gamepad on Windows XP...

Postby Shia Kyosuka » Wed Oct 04, 2006 9:42 am

Well, not too long ago my gamepad socket quit working on my computer, and I need it to work so I can finish Final Fantasy 7!

Everytime I try to add one to the list of gamepads, it always says:

"Your Gameport or Gameport drivers are not properly configured"

so, I went to system device manager to see if I could fix it, but all of the system resources have been taken.

...

All I could find on google is that XP is really bad with gameport gaming devices and that people have already started to hse USB gamepads.

Thing is, since I'm out of a job, I can't just march down to Wal-Mart and pick one up!

I tried freeing the resources by taking out my capture card, but I haven't had any luck.

Maybe you guys can help?
had enough.
