Windows emulator

Postby HwaRang777 » Fri Nov 11, 2005 7:14 pm

does anyone know where I can get a windows emulator for Mac OS X Tiger?

I know that there's Virtual PC for Mac, but it costs too much money. Is there a free (of course being legal) or cheaper alternative?

And would it make the processing power significantly slower if I had WinE on a linux emulator for my mac?

I think there are no legal free ones, as part of the cost is the license for Windows.

I'm pretty sure AH is right.

What apps are you looking to run? AFAIK, Virtual PC is very bad for trying to play PC games, if that is what you are looking to do.

There's Bochs for Mac OS X, which is free and open-source, but it's tremendously slow. VPC7 won't play games well -- in fact, the last version that played games well at all was VPC3, and it won't work in OS X.
